If so, I might need help in people pointing out how the vat savitri gift scene comes under hasya.

Vat Savitri Gift Scene - Hasya (laughter)

Instead of laughter (in literal sense) we could translate this to feelings of happiness, satisfaction or content and appreciation for this scene.

There are several scenes related to The Gifts which were beautifully executed and equally important. What relates to the respective gift scene is when Raghav proudly enters the bedroom with Farhad and presents all his gifts to Pallavi.

After encouragement (pushing) of Amma, Raghav makes time in his busy schedule and comes home with lots of gifts (very shiny saree and jewelry) which are not to Pallavi's preference. Though, understanding the efforts he has made, she pretends to absolutely like it. Raghav is seen to be absolutely proud of his choices, keeping in mind of Pallavi's taste (according to him) and asking for validation, like a little kid who is looking for the approval. It is the first time he has bought gifts for his wife for such an important festivity, and that too saree shopping. Carefully, Pallavi compliments his choice, which encourages Raghav even more. The big smile from ear to ear and the twinkling eyes show his happiness and relief. He is relieved, knowing he has done this task so well that he start feeling overconfident, and boosting up his own ego. He dares to admit that he felt challenged but after all... he is The Raghav Rao, and whatever he does is The Bessht.. He has even proactively accessorized with bangles. Pallavi accepted his choice, and his efforts were appreciated, which has brought him great happiness. The smile on his face reminds me of the time he thought Amma and Keerthi were coming home for festivities. A great laughter and intense happiness.

Then, comes the surprise element of Raghav..

Raghav has a change of heart and realizes that the gifts he brought for her are not good enough. He gives her the red outfit and jewelry, which Pallavi absolutely loves. He knows the importance of this event/festivity especially for Pallavi. She has explained what this means for a married woman and fasting is only to be done when there are feelings for each other. Raghav's question to whether Pallavi has feelings for him, is only answered when Pallavi walks down the stairs. Both will end up fasting for each other. They have a cute moment together before she leaves home. He brought her the gifts, but the fact that she has accepted his gifts and him are perhaps even of more significance to him. That was actually a gift to him.

maybe to break the scene down, you can find a bit of inspiration, mainly about the initial Gift scene which was important but gave also comic relief 😊

Maybe it would be better if we move it to love. I know they showed it as a funny scene because of Amma and Pallu's reactions but in RR's pov, it was a sweet gesture, and I, personally, would categorise it under love.

As of now, I'm kinda struggling to see how I can write about it being funny. If anyone could show me how it's funny, with Raghav's perspective, then I can write it.

It was perhaps funny for us to watch Raghav antics. For Raghav, I would not place this under love. At this point there are feelings, an attraction, a mixture of emotions. I would label it then more under happiness which can relate to both Love and Laughter.

This made me re-visit the list of scenes which are there in Hasya Ras and what I found is some are from audience perspective while some are from Raghav's.

So I think we can put this Gift scene under this category only rather than Shringar

Episode 177, Sept 8th

Episode starts with Pallavi waking up beside Raghav who was sleeping holding her hands. She some how detangle their hands and in front of mirror realized that necklace is missing. She started searching it in the room and due to the sound Raghav wakes up and asks what happened. She tells him about missing necklace and they both started searching for it. Meanwhile Pallavi remember that in the middle of night she went to dining table for water, so they searched there as well.

Amma asks as to what happened and Farhad also enters. When Pallavi suggests to file a complaint, Farhad asks Raghav that they can discuss this in the study.

SunKee scene; Sunny shows Keerti the marriage application and she says she will try for one last time to convince Amma.

Farhad tells Raghav that one day Pallavi will going to know about his twisted ways of business but Raghav says till now she didn't and he will manage afterwards as well.

While Amma enters her room to search for the necklace, Keerti is practicing in front of mirror to convince Amma. Amma's phone rang and it was from some lady who was asking to confirm the meeting with a guy from Singapore. Keerti was denying but Amma snatches the phone. Keerti tries to shout at Amma but in the meanwhile Raghav enters and ask her to keep her voice in check as she is her mother. The siblings have a kind of word of wars and Raghav leaves the room with Amma, while Pallavi didn't liked it.

In D-house, Amrutha is trying to help Aai in walking with stick. Milind informs Sanki that he has booked Ganpati idol but Sanki says they are not going to celebrate any festival henceforth as the elder son of the house is in jail. Sharada intervenes and says that Ganpati bappa has helped them to overcome the disturbances and they will gonna bring Bappa this year as well.

Raghav is getting ready in his room when Pallavi asks him if he had filed the complaint. He confirms about it and Pallavi says there is something else bothering her and was talking about Keerti when Farhad calls him.

Meanwhile Farhad was beating the man who stole the necklace (he is their house help). The house help had went to some jeweler to sell the necklace but in turn the man informed Farhad. Raghav asks the jewelry shop owner to leave the scene and ask him not to mention about this to anyone. He offers money to the house help and asks him to leave Hyderabad and forget about this incident. Sunny witnesses all this and is skeptical as Raghav was talking about law and orders during Mandar's case but left the thief like this only.

Krishna-Pallavi have a conversation in DSE where Krishna says no guy will marry her due to her weight but Pallavi console her. She found the newspaper with the news of Police Commissioner hospitalized and thinks as to why Raghav lied to her.

She confronts Raghav and asks him why he did this to which he replied that they are different as individuals and so is their way of working. He later apologizes to her for lying.

Precap: Sunny in RR mansion. Sunny is threatening that he will elope with Keerti and hence Raghav locks her in room. He asks Amma to arrange meeting with Singapore guy and get Keerti married in a week. Pallavi tries to reason Raghav that locking Keerti up was not right. Keerti elopes and comes back wedded.
