Veer-Zaara and No Entry which were highest grossing films of 2004 and 2005 respectively, were really low grossers even after adjusted for inflation, when compared to films that released before or after this time period.
Business was really down during 2002-2005 when films were struggling to cross even 50 Crores, when HAHK crossed that barrier in 1994 itself.
Covid is way worse than any transition phase, so it doesn't even matter at this point which film is the highest grosser. But yeah, it's fun to joke about it.
