The way these CVs have destroyed Kinjal's character has been so frustrating and sad to watch...

Constantly we are told in multiple ways how Toshu and Pankhi wishing that their mom was more westernised, educated, stylish, etc. instead of appreciating her for who she is and what all she has done for them is wrong (which it is!).

But Kinju baby berating HER mother for being career driven, modern minded,and wishing she had been different etc. is A-ok!?

It is very clear that these writers are trying to appeal to extremely backwards minded people in the audience who think only ONE type of mother is a "real" mother who deserves unquestioning love, respect, devotion, etc. (regardless of how wrong her actions may be). While mothers who don't fit into that neat little box can be insulted, disrespected and had faults found with their parenting by their kids at every turn (even if their position is actually logical/understandable)...

How stomach-turningly insensitive, hypocritical and regressive to openly promote such notions in this day and age... 🤢

The idea that only very traditional, gharelu ladies are good or "real" mothers is not only backwards though, it's just flat out WRONG.

I am not a mother yet but from what I can tell, being a good parent is about so much more than just following traditional gender roles of your culture... and one can definitely be a good mother or father without doing that!

I swear these makers on one hand are trying to chastise Pakhi and Toshu for berating Anupama as a mother for being uneducated, less westernised, etc and trying to send the message that children should love and respect the parents irrespective of their shortcomings, but at the same time they are glorifying Kinjal's defiance and berating of Rakhi as a mother.

Toshu, Kavya or anyone, if they name call Anupama Kinjal has a big problem lekin when Leela and everyone else calls her own mother a Naagin she is okay with that, and when Toshu shuts people up she has a problem. I'm like the makers have lost the plot.

Why can't the cvs just show Kinjal and Rakhi sorting the issue and discussing over whether they have to move to the penthouse or not?

@bold : Thisssssssssssss is the thing which I can never appreciate. This girl can’t tolerate if someone make fun of anupama or do name calling for her but same girl never corrected baa that please don’t call my mother naagin . Even if you feel she has the traits still name calling is not acceptable.

Kinjal was never wanted to take baa’s shit, she had her own brain which was fully functional that’s why she had asked baa to treat her in better way . What anupama taught her ? Just to show anupama can fight with office harassment, what they showed! Kinjal was ready to leave the job and has no backbone to fight her own battle ! It’s anupama who gave strength to kinjal!!!!! Kinjal’s transformation from bold and beautiful to damsel in distress doesn’t stop there . Slowly and steadily Ms. writer has totally removed brainy and bold Kinjal characteristic that’s why today that girl is speaking a language like “Main apne ap ko girvi rakhti hu” in place of acting like original bold kinjal who had done police complaint against fraudsters.

Rakhi raised bold and beautiful daughter and look at anupama , what she was feeding kinjal, “ ghar ki shanti ke liye chup raho “” Baa jo bhi kare sab sahi “!

Working mothers have no time to pamper child by giving everything in the child’s hand like anupama raised her daughter pakhi . Working mothers raise their daughter and make them bold and beautiful unlike poor parenting on the name of motherhood.

Agreed in the name of Anupama character the main and mahaan they have destroyed both Rakhi and Kinjal. I would have rather liked Kinjal see give the strength to Anupama to fight her own battles. And the sexual harassments track completely destroyed Kinjal. Now Kinjal only has words for Rakhi but for the rest of the world she is scared timid.

Pramod wanted to accord respect to Anupama when she went with Kinjal to meet them rakhe silenced him. He did not attend the wedding dur to rakhees doing. They are projecting Rakhee as thinking of only her pride to contrast with Anupama! Rakhee and Kavya are episodes of manipulation and selfishness and Anupama of Mahanta.

Rakhi's worst fear has come true. Kinjal has become anupama 2.0. I finally understand what did toshu mean by his family had turned kinjal into a behenji. Initially she was a bold educated woman who won't take crap from anyone, now under the gentle guidance of anupama, she has learned to accept abuse from baa and outsiders like dholakiya. Even if rakhi had sympathy for anupama as a woman, she won't ever forgive her for ruining her daughter's personality.

Basically rakhi interferes too much in Shah family matters. Shah family doesn't interfere in her work and business. She is just an in law.

In law's just visit on festival and support in bad times. But rakhi's agenda is to harass the shah. Kinjal has all the right to marry and live where ever she wants. Rakhi and kinjal r two different individuals and their choices and needs r different.

Basically it's embarassing on kinjal's part that her mother is harassing her family always.

Maximum rakhi could do is to create more and more wealth for her daughter and maker her future secure. But it's wrong to interfere in a grown up child life. Rakhi by no means is a modern parent.

Anupama has basically ruined Kinjal's character completely. The girl who had the sense to call out all forms of injustice has suddenly turned into someone who only opens her mouth to support her mummy or berate her mother. Rakhi had every right to fear Kinjal turning into another Anupama because she saw what Shah house has done to Anupama. This is the same person who was basically hiding her husband's infidelity in the name of family unity. It was clear in the resort episode that Rakhi was disgusted by that step of Anupama. So it is only understandable that Rakhi wanted her daughter to stay away from Shah house. But instead Kinjal has become even more attached to Shahs and has turned into another Anupama who can't raise her voice for right things and go around supporting people even when they are wrong.

She interferes with them because her daughter lives with them, so indirectly she is also family and can interfere.

If kinjal is so worried and concerned for her family then she should move out at least for their sake right??? It's a win win for everyone if she simply moved out.

Rakhi has no right to interfere in a grown up child's life but Vanraj, Anupama can interfere with Paritosh's life??? Emotionally blackmail him into staying or using Kinjal as a hostage.

Uss family ki insult toh hum bhi karte hai as an audience, Rakhi ne kiya toh kya galat kiya?

Jab Ladka ladki bhaag ke shaadi karte toh yehi hota hai, accept it. Rakhi never approved of the Shah family in fact no sane mother ever would and love is temporary, even in a joint family especially a middle class joint family where money problems are quite prominent. I just feel ki the show is glorifying the joint family system and treating nuclear families as an abomination of some sort.

Why is it that if Rakhi worries for Kinjal it's love and not Mahaanta? Because she is her mother not a wannabe mother like Anupama. I agree that giving birth to someone alone does not make one a mother but that doesn't mean anyone can just swoop in, coddle you up and become your mother overnight. A MIL is alway an MIL only at the end of the day. We should ask the right question, why exactly is Kinjal so against moving out of the Shah house? It's not like she will lose anything if she did that? In a marriage one has to compromise at times, she can't have everything going her way all the time. Moreover if she moves Rakhi won't have to drop in at the Shah house at all which means no more insults ki barsaat.

KinTosh were supposed to take the decision mutually but its only Kinjal's demands that are being fulfilled, what about Toshu's need and dream to move out of the house? He is being held back because of Kinjal being used as leverage against him by the Shah's, that the level of manipulation that has been used on her.
