Exactly! Though they are showing them of same age, Anuj looks handsome with good personality and anupama looks typical middle aged lady with tired looks. I hope they give anupama not ultra modern but refreshing new look.

Anuj and Anupamaa have lived two different lives so i can see the struggles on her face more, then Anuj - thats how i am looking at it.

She is mother of 3 kids, housewife, sheltered and struggled and stressed, its aged her before her time. Anuj is a rich man, lived a good life, and modern and stylish.. so he has maintained looking young.

For me as the characterizations matters, the chemistry and how the scenes are too... that can help any pairing on-screen too.

Anupamaa has been projected time and again as a woman who has not taken care of herself and looks older than she actually is. There had been an initial promo when Vanraj commented that she looks 50 at the age of 42.

While Vanraj was still working out as an athlete and taking protein shakes, she was slogging in the kitchen. There are plenty of people who look like they are 50, even at the age of 30 due to various reasons like medical problems, drug addiction, stress, hard work etc. That was also the logic used to cast a 39 year old Nawazuddin Siddiqui in Gangs of Wasseypur as a 23 year old Faisal Khan.

I am sure that the fact that Anuj still looks fresh while Anupamaa has years showing on her face, will be brought up on the show.

Also it is natural that men and women age differently. Both Gaurav and Rupali had their major shows around the same time. Gaurav was in Kumkum and Rupali was in Sanjivani and Sarabhai. Gaurav was a marketing manager before he began acting and not a teenager, which means that they are almost in he same age group.

This is exactly what I have been trying to say and also think will be shown too, and the characterisation chosen and why. It’s intriguing (characters wise and pairing wise) and true to life as well….

i have seen him in Tere bina where i realy liked his character but i dont know in this mad house what they will turn him into ?
