Okay, on re-watch of the episode, would like to mention some stuff in vistaar that I may have missed in my earlier review:

Loved Adi and Aparna's scene - that was the best seven we have seen in weeks - more so because it gave all the feels that we normally associate with the show. That honest conversation and his plea for her to forgive his mistake and accept the girl he loves - reminded me of how a child is asking their mother to give him something precious that he has been bereft of for so long. The way Adi says - I love her mom - A simple truth that he never said for Malini, made Aparna pause in her tracks. Aparna's issue will always be that Adi changed because of Imlie - that frightens her because she has seen to what limit Adi can go for Imlie. She is worried that Imlie may take him away from her, but he was trying to make her understand that end of the day he will come back to her only. He loves Imlie, but his mother, even with all her idiosyncrasies that he once hated, is someone who cannot be replaced by anyone. That simple plea - make me something I love and give me your forgiveness along with that - was enough to melt Aparna's heart so much that she agreed to try, which was something she never would have said before.

Imlie's dupatta today felt like a character in it's own - it was almost acting in its own way what she felt. Be it how she first drapes it out of shyness and nervousness on what is going to happen, to it dancing along with her at the function. The dupatta felt like a promise fulfilled, when it got stuck right in front of Adi's photo at the time of the mahurat and was then used to show Imlie's attitude and irritation at Malini's antics to ruin her function. Finally it was used a tool to signify Imlie's ominous premonition that something is not right with Adi, when he gets shot by SK. Today that dupatta really felt like an extension of Imlie in everyway👏

NN today was on fire in everyway - be it signifying her chadti jawaani to the public - they should have asked kamzor kali about NN's jawani wale karnaame and kisse😆. Naani calling out everyone, forcing AC and Aparna to dance and basically creating a masti wala mahaul - so much so that it made even BK give up his akad, Radhaji ka darr and sadu shakal to finally dance🤣. The entire set up was well done - I was worried it could have been cringey, but they pulled it off and how👏

Loved how someone mentioned that the line - tune kadar na jaani rama was metaphorical of Malini singing to Adi and Imlie singing to Malini. Malini's no kadar about Adi has landed her in a situation that she could never have even imagined, but is completely unaware of. Imlie's words where she said - Adi was with Malini only na all this while, felt like an allegory to their relationship - Adi was with Malini all this while for 7 years, but he still chose to comeback to Imlie even after leaving her to marry Malini. Similarly when Imlie said that kismat has gotten them together was her way of explaining that no matter how hard Malini tries, she will never be successful. Adi and Imlie will always find a way to be together, coz they have the biggest shipper doing everything to get them together - their relationship builder, who actually got them together against all odds - the one and only Sita Maiyya

@ Adi Aparna scene so beautifully written n executed.. The essence of imlie is this.. Strong strong emotional connect i would say..

Every time u watch that scene it gives so much warmth.. The longing of both Maa Beta the laad pyaar being missed by bothof them enacted so beautifully by GM n Ritu.. 👏

Her" koshish karungi " n his" kheer bananeki ya hume maaf karne ki " had my ❤️.. Might be being overly positive shayad imlie ka itna humiliation na dikhaye.. Aparna might just be in shock be she won't blame

Yeah, that scene really touched my heart. Their chemistry really showed - we got a glimpse of the purani wali Aparna who we could never ever imagine would ever treat anyone badly.

That breakdown of Aparna and the way when Adi hugs her and rather than hugging him back, she just tilts her head to touch his - reminded me of Adi doing it to Imlie when she jumped on his back in his dream - lagta hai he got that gesture from Aparna only❤️

@bold1: that ‘I really love her ma’ could make anyone give in 🥺 GM did fantastically well there, he is just so one with the emotion, his facial expression, voice modulation, gestures all contribute to the impact 👏👏👏 otherwise a firm lover ready to take on wars for Imlie, but utter pain of seeing his mom in pain and not being able to help it makes him plead for forgiveness and affection. 😭
Apu did reciprocate well but the connect with AT is long gone.

@bold2: when Imlie said ab tak to aapke sath hi the, was really firm n decisive, indication of she has shifted completely w.r.t M. I wish we see taandav from Imlie this time, let her pain tolerance all culminate into a wrath unleashing on M.
I am a fan of what ST conveys just through looks👍👍👍, she doesn’t need any extra screen presence to register in people’s heart, there’s a long list of such gazes so far in the show, she has long way to go.

Nice post Aps.. just caught the last bit and a busy day for me.. so my 2 cents below before the day consumes me. 😆

The first scene did not get its due.. it was a brilliant scene of Adi-Apu that came at the right time.

Both are emotional, love deeply, hurt the ones they love or care for with words, get mad quickly and are like 2 peas in a pod.. Adi is a chip of his maa and has her many traits.

He was already emo as M did the kind gesture of pointing out that his family is not going to give gifts to Imlie on her muh dikhayi. He is sad about that and it was displayed only in a flicker... the emotions it evoked in him as he knows that Imlie is also devastated by his maa's non acceptance, she is yearning for that.

So Adi decides to make a last ditch attempt to make his maa see reason. How beautifully he expressed his love for Imlie... simple and raw truth, his voice breaking here, conveying that he cannot fathom a life without her in it. Making his maa understand that she is important in his life too, she will always have a place in his life, nothing or no one can ever take her place. Reminding her of the bond they shared, despite his surliness, indifference, nonchalant attitude, he cares for her very much and he misses that bond, her presence in his life.

Apu's mamta was touched when he knelt at her feet and pleaded, please accept her as her behavior is hurting all 3 of them equally, none are happy. The hug and the squeeze along with the can you make kheer for me is like a little boy asking for his favorite things to be made, that will light up his face with tremendous joy.

The words that she will try to accept Imlie, make kheer for him was enough for Adi. Hoping that Apu recalls this moment during this week as she is going to be on trial too, her son's life in danger. Can she overcome her anger and ego is the big question ..
