First things first, I created an account to question why there is so much hate against Dev. I din't know newbies had a post limit & I ended up creating another account to reply to people on that thread but both the accounts got banned (because it was a multiple ID). I am creating this one to clarify a few stuff so that people dont assume I ran away. This might get banned too for all I know but I really need to say this before I leave.

1. This is a fictional show with fictional characters & ppl are bound to have different perspectives. Just because you think one character sucks, is a monster & deserves the worst, you cant expect everyone to think the same way. Everyone will have a different POV & interpret fiction differently. One person's trash is another person's treasure and vice versa

2. What you have is an opinion. Not a fact. Sun rises in the east is a fact. Dev is a monster who deserves the worst is not. And ppl are allowed to understand his perspective and sympathize with him. Its not a crime

3. There is a civil way to disagree with someone & hold on to your opinion. I was told its 'sad' I think a certain way, I was almost called a chauvinist for trying to understand a fictional character, I was told the other POV is a fact and mine is an erroneous opinion and I was condescendingly told the meaning of certain words (implying that I dont understand them & my interpretation of fiction is wrong)

4. The generalization here is that anyone who understands Dev hates Sona, anyone who understands Dev is a Shaheer fan & anyone who understands Dev is a woman hater. There could be the remote possibility that there are ppl who genuinely like both Dev & Sona, understand both their POVs and want the best for these fictional characters. But that possibility is completely dismissed in this forum

5. This forum is for discussion. A discussion entails different POVs and perspectives. A discussion requires understanding of the fact that not everyone thinks like you and not everyone will agree with you. 'Dev is a monster and the worst and most toxic character to exist and you better accept this fact' is not a discussion. Its a unilateral declaration of your subjective opinion as fact.

6. This forum used to be really active in the past with extreme POVs on the show. Multiple ones where some understood Dev, some understood Sona and some even understood Ishwari. There were ppl who wanted Dev to live all his life alone as punishment, there were ppl who desperately wanted Dev-Sona together & there were also ppl who had issues with Sonakshi's behaviour. Right or wrong, that was the beauty of the forum. But now, with hardly a few ppl left, its just shoving one opinion down everyone's throat with no scope for discussion.

Last but not the least, I hope the writers kill Dev in this season & give peace to ppl here. Afterall, real ppl are being hurt & bullied just to express the 'fact' that Dev is a monster. Ppl are being condescending & judgmental for a fictional character just to prove their point. I hope the writers fulfill their wish & give Dev a horrible ending. All the bullying & superiority complex will at least pay off.

I feel really terrible for the way the character Dev being cruelly bashed ...

I agreed and told it in my other posts , I stand by it

I am happy to see that people are voicing it out

Also you can argue from Dev's side but you can't judge those who don't agree with you.

Same people also advocate therapy for Dev and empathize with his sad upbringing. Same people also call out sonakshi's stupidity.

Even though you've contrdicted yourself right here. I thought we were friends and could use you as an example. Good for letting me know.

Also I guess you aren't happy with the moderators. They have banned people who have been too cruel. I trust their judgement if dev was handled cruelly they would take action.

Weren't you the one who condescendingly gave me meanings of words just because I disagreed with something? Am sorry I dont discuss the show the way you deem fit. Its funny you say that you can argue from Dev's side but you cant judge those who dont agree with you. Because ppl here literally judge everyone who understands Dev and dont agree with their analysis that he is a monster. Saying I am disagreeing with facts (when its a POV), generalizing that ppl defend Dev only because of Shaheer, dismissing POVs saying they glorify the bare minimum Dev does while Sonakshi is the actual victim, saying its 'sad' I think a certain way- I did not know this is what you call a discussion and this is what you call not judging another side.

You can hate Dev all you want. You can even call him the worst character ever. My only issue is with ppl's refusal to understand that not everyone will agree with them. Its literally a daily soap which is bound to elicit different reactions.

I don’t want “ Dev fan” crown

I mean he has lot of shortcomings being fan mean I must accept him blindly

What I don’t agree is the way he is being bashed

The severity and cruelty of it

I like the character Dev , I like him best in the show

I never insensitively criticize characters now ( earlier few yrs ago watched another show ) the other show I watched I too jumped in the wagon .

Pandemic changed my out look of every thing
