My father's maternal side resides in Pune. So I have some Punekar blood in me. I enjoy there, it is not only rich in culture but also in food. I ignore those snide remarks and concentrate on food...I have tried all the mastanis over there wherever it was available...misal pav at bedekar, kheema pav at goodluck that was recommended by a friend it's a gastronomical delight...visit to kayani bakery is a must before leaving for mumbai
My aa tya brings lots of stuff for us when she visits us in Mumbai. You guys also have amazing zoo, hamare yahan toh bas naam ka reh gaya hai..😆 I'm cricket crazy, visited blades of glory museum there, a must visit for cricket buff.
yeah OMG kayani bakery ka shrewberry biscuits are a die for. Its a must have and bakarwadi from Chitale. Vaisa katakir a restraint near budrani hospital also serves great Misal pav. We also have great cafes and nightclubs at koregaon park.
Snide comments don't even start😆😆 it can be difficult for non punekars to deal and respond to but once u get the hang of them, there is nothing better and hilarious then the puneri patyas in pune.
So in my friend's society in sadashiv Peth they don't allow dogs in the society garden so instead of writing a simple statement saying no dogs allowed they wrote smart dogs and stupid owners not allowed in the garden.
Even my college xerox machine the principle wanted to say only use the machine for necessary work so they wrote This xerox machine is college property not ur shaadi ka dehaj so only print or xerox necessary stuff . 😆😆
A board in shukrawar Peth near vaikuntha which has a kabristan says drive slowly or u will endup here showing a sign pointing towards the kabristaan.
It seems outright rude to people who are outsiders and unaware of the punekar sarcasm but once u get used to it it's amusing to see the creativity in those puneri patya and boards.
Mastani I think is overrated I don't understand the fascination with it as its like a melted ball of icecream in another ball of ice-cream even though the one in sujata mastani in camp is decent.
