Making characters the sacrificial lamb is one of the worst tropes of ITV. I have never seen such people in real life.

Which couple who’s separated keep trying to meet each other and if they felt the need to meet, why not converse about mending their relationship!
the stupidity is bothering me now!
Shiva didnt really need to return the sindoor, I thought that scene in haveli where she said it’s important was to show him she cared abt her marriage as opposed to the first day in haveli when she didn’t like that shiva filled her maang! She wanted to do it on her own!
Now why will she care about it when they’ve fought and he’s tld her he can’t stand her and they’re getting divorced!
he could have just given it to his bhabhi’s or left it at the prayer room!
also hasn’t he locked the room and living in the aangan, how did he find it then ! 🤪🤪

Despite Gaura being the leads, they didn’t show much about their sacrifice! Dev and Shiva went on abt room! They should have been worried abt how gaura feel, how it might have impacted dhara’s health and about the taunts!

The pregnancy reveal also, they needed a private moment to just let their emotions sink in! When you wish for something for so long, you take a moment in silence to realize it’s a reality and breathe a sigh of relief and joy!

Instead they spent time on dikthana! The writers don’t have the ability to show character depth!
that’s the issue with raavi too, she only had 2 traits in the beginning- happy go lucky and in her bubble of Dev love!
after that bubble burst they have no idea how to write her!

She goes full Hulk mode on sneha and Rishita, but keeps quiet with dev and her friends! Make her consistent🤪

@Bold this is the biggest issue and it started right from the Kesar track. I gave them leeway cuz of location change. But from the day they returned, it’s been getting worse. At this point, they can’t even reign in the story and bring back that depth 😆 so they are just going with the flow until trps drop and it’s time to pack up for good 😆

I wish we would get a holi sequence. Though I do not think the show will last that long.

They don’t have the budget to shoot at Hardik’s house😕 nor do they have budget to retain Hardik and Mama😕 Both are doing web series as they cannot depend only on PS. They are wasting such nice characters instead had to bring 6 of Raavi’s friends and tons of Mohalle ki aunties to gossip and spread false rumors

They probably got those actors from the set. Ransoms meaning barely any pay. Keep budget for sumans new wheelchair.

If I have learnt something in my long journey of watching shows, whether ITV or otherwise, it's a simple fact that I watch the show with a certain sense of detachment.

I neither get very involved off-screen or onscreen. That's how it becomes easier. When you have a certain sense of detachment, nothing upsets you.

I can troll, laugh, love and indulge yet be unaffected emotionally. It's a trait that I follow in my personal life too.

This is self-preservation and sanity! The show is merely a business pursuit for the channel, and the writers will write whatever gives them money!

Rest doesn't matter.

I have always found all the characters flawed in PS from day 1.

The drama has become louder, I agree, but no character is butchered if you ask me.

1. Suman was always a hypocrite and had her skewed sense of insecurity pre-leap too. She used to do more nautanki then.

2. Gautam was a great son, a shallow key guy. The only thing he could command was on his brothers. He still doesn't understand Shiva. He had always scolded him.

3. Dhara- she was exactly like this pre leap too. Extremely loving, but she used to be this one-person army. Baat chupana. She had constantly emotionally blackmailed Shiva and still does. If you go back to my Shiva Dhara posts, he had always been more dedicated to Dhara than any of the brothers, and he always suffered in silence when it came to her.

4. Shiva was always on edge with Raavi. Raavi insulted him most of the time, and he would always be bugged by the way she made fun of him. He enjoyed her attention, but the moment she dissed him, he would feel grumpy and sad. That's what exactly it is now. He is in love and hence wanted a real relationship. Nothing has changed. Had not Shiva read her diary, maybe he would have calmed down.

I don't see anything new in his behaviour right now.

5. Raavi is still blind as a bat.

Anita-She was scheming, but she did love Gautam at a point.

The drama has become Louder, but the characters are still what they were.

I still like the show and certainly love Shiva-Dhara more than any brother bhabhi dynamics.

Agree!

Both Raavi and Rishita aren’t written with any depth or layers! We only see 1 facet of their personality!

While Dhara and Shiva had certain layers to them, they are now getting rid of it, to make them also 1 trait characters!
From understanding Raavi’s feeling for Dev to telling him to not play along, to giving her choice to stay in the marriage, Shiva’s now been reduced to a sacrificial lamb who’ll do hurtful things and take away his wife’s right to choose for her own good 🤪

Rishita and Dev’s relationship is not at all explored, they also have so much potential, what with their surface level all encompassing love which can’t translate to marital bliss coz of adjustment and familial values 🤪

But no they’ll show dikthana, oily attacks and dance off for divorce 🤣

Who else thought they were watching step up and not pandya store?....
