@Bold Bingo! I think it’s this amongst a few other reasons. Even if the content in the episodes is bad, we can at least discuss and even troll. But the offscreen stuff is beyond me 😆 Unfortunately, it does affect the mood overall. I don’t mind differences of opinion (in fact it makes the conversations more fulfilling) but not everyone feels that way.
I personally feel like there is a undercurrent of extreme dislike (hate might be too strong) towards the cast (barring 1-2 of them) and now the characters. There is no balance and room for conversation. No one party is at fault. The writers are messing up big time but the offscreen drama isn’t helping either. I could be totally wrong but that does deter me sometimes from commenting. I have my set of opinions that I don’t intend to change without good reason but I enjoy reading what others think. We can dislike the characters and talk about what bothers us. Or find the small things we like. But if we outright hate them, what is left to watch 😆
A handful of members that were present early on are no longer here and I’m sure they have their reasons for leaving. We had many more neutral fans of the show earlier. I think we are missing the balance both in the episodes and on the forum. It’s unfortunate but happens with almost every show. Oh well.
Aww I’ll try to update this weekend! With work being busy and the forum not being what it used to be…. I’m losing a bit of inspiration but your comment is def encouraging 🤗 I will try to post something this weekend!
Thank you for always supporting my work and for bringing so much positivity to the forum! I really enjoy interacting with you, Piu, Sara, Avi, etc… and it’s one of the reasons I’m still here ❤️
You are right somehow.
The offscreen drama has made me dislike some cast members.the writers are not helping the matter either.bad writing is making me disconnect with the characters of the show.
Shows and characters which invoke passionate responses has Always been my favourite.i love watching conflicts in which noone is partly at fault and people can debate over their actions and analyse the scenes. We get so many perspectives about a single scene.
Give me a good negative character and I will gladly watch it.make anita a vamp whose actions makes me apprehensive, whose plans are witty and actually has an impact.
What bothers me is when you show a positive character being violent and illogical.when the character graph swings like a pendulum.
I would have loved if rishita stayed the grey character that she was portrayed like in the beginning.i loved her haveli scenes.the scene where she chides Krish for coming to their room without knocking.made sense.the scene where she refuses to eat jhoota khana because it disgusted her.as someone who is not comfortable with eating from others plates, I could connect with her.
I would go gone crazyy if my in laws smothered me with hugs and kisses and made me eat from their plate.
Her irritation in the money matters made sense as well.
Her insecurity about raavi was also bang on.had she been a minute late, raavi would have been Devs wife.
I even liked her in the bathroom kaand.
I can't digest this sudden change in rishita.when did she develop a fondness for dhara? When did she care so much about the family? The change should have been gradual and slow.
Dev has been reduced to a prop.
Krish gets some lines here and there.
Raavi scenes are repetetive.no clarity about her thoughts.
Suman swings like a pendulum, one moment she is like DILs are the izzat of the house, it's their responsibility to maintain it.
The next moment she throws shiva out of the house for insulting raavi.
They have not kept a single character likeable.infact some shivi fans have also ended up hating either raavi or shiva.
