He said that he killed Devyani because she had come to know about him being a psycho, stalker. Even Im inclined to think that its got something to do with her past. Otherwise they wouldn't have had Sunny bring it up. Sikand in his live chat said that Mandhar's accident and recovery has more to it than what we have been shown so far. How his body was recovered 25 km away from the hospital where he was admitted? Was her brother involved in all that? Maybe he wanted to stop the wedding when he came to know about him.. and then tried to kill Mandhar in the hospital.. ?
