Even though its nice I still feel I should have completed my masters . I did apply last year for it and got into good tier 1 universities . But I am really indecisive whether should I leave my job or should I do masters . I wanna do masters to gain more insight into my CS subject but at the same time many suggested it as a wrong move since I am already working with FAANG . My brain is screwed up for days .. anyone any inputs. I am sure this is not the right place to ask but still any advice is welcome from someone in the same field or experience
How long have you been with the company and how long is the course? Sometimes gaps in resumes don't reflect well. Quitting right now for FT masters may also come across as you were let go. (In US, employers aren't allowed to divulge if you were fired or not, so this could be an assumption).
Not sure of your working hours, but if you can, do both. You can do FT job with PT masters (one or two classes per semester). And if you stay with company, they'll pay for it too.
Alternatively, you can look for another job that has a better WL balance and note that you want to make a change, so you can do PT school. Considering you have a job in a field of your desire, I'd stick around for a bit at Google.
I personally wouldn't quit FT job for masters. If you want to focus more on school then I'd still check to see if you can become PT employee.
