You don't think there is going to be a show of ego from Virat's end? His "you will see a side of me that you have never seen before" seemed to point in that direction?
Up until this point, Virat has never treated Sai as one treats their zimidari. She has always been more to him. Before she became his love or his wife, she was his family. Someone he cared deeply about and was never scared to show it. Sai has questioned the very foundation of that bond. To me, that dialogue came not from a place of ego, but a place of all hope being lost. He thinks there is no spot left in Saiâs life for him. He is dead inside. I personally felt that he was so broken not because she insulted him, but because she insulted his love for her (and not just romantic or husband type love). So, while him distancing himself will probably come across as his ego to many, I think that it will be a display of him having essentially given upâŚhe truly believes that Saiâs happiness is without him. I didnât see this dialogue as a threat. I saw it as the words of someone who feels as though they have just lost the love of their life. Itâs not that he wants to show Sai what a deal marriage really isâŚitâs that this entire time, this was never a deal marriage to himâŚand now, the âtruthâ of it being so and never being able to be anything more (from his POV) has come crashing down on him. Again, I donât know with how much certainty to take these words, because he, too, was in the heat of the moment. He will distance himself for sure, but I truly donât think he will turn as cold as RonoâŚbecause he is incapable of doing so.
