The TV show Khwaish is going off air all of a sudden. And it's certainly come as a surprise to the cast. "It's a shock as I was expecting it to run at least for few more months," says actor Yasir Shah. "It has become a part of my daily life and I enjoy acting. All of a sudden I am in a situation where I need work. I want to stay in Mumbai," he says.
Yasir is the first Pakistani actor to do an Indian soap and he's happy about that. "It feels nice. Until now singers, comedians and film stars have been coming to India. I am the first one to come here for a daily soap Khwaish from Karachi."
Yasir's hoping to get some good work here. "I am looking out for positive lead roles, but am open to negative roles also. I have met a couple of producers and talks are on. I am optimistic and determined to get work. Senior actress Anju Mahendroo who is playing my mother on-screen is trying to help me out. She is going to introduce me to Mahesh Bhatt soon," he says.
