Even when Dev attempts to do the right thing, he can only do it through a compromise. What’s the point Of calling him Ved Ayushmann Dixit? If that’s his name for school and in the legal paperwork, he will of course be called Ved only. People will call you by your first name, not your middle name, and you can’t go thru life requesting people to call you by your middle name.

The boy wanted to retain Ayushmann as his name. He should have been Ayushmann Dixit after legal adoption, or Ayushmann Dev Dixit. That name was his identity, it was what his parents (as he knew them) named him, it was his link to them. What a disgusting woman Ishwari is that she has such scant respect for the feelings of a child who has undergone such trauma in his young life. All this nonsense is done in the name of ‘ elders know better’.

If Dev had any guts, he would have removed Ved completely from the boy’s name. That name change was just done through a havan. It wasn’t legally binding. He didn’t have to keep Ved at all. If he had any spine, sense of decency or respect for his son, he would have made sure his child’s feelings were respected, even if it meant upsetting the Goddess.

Exactly! And since when does Dev care about upsetting the goddess, he doesn't even believe in god!

Why would he, when he has his own personal Goddess at home to put on a pedestal, idolise and worship ? 😆
