then why do you think people there are so desperate to leave and living under fear ? Look at the airport situation . As per your narrative shouldn’t they be celebrating ? Why did prez fled the country ? Afghans don’t want either America or Taliban . Just coz you are US hater you can’t go on supporting Taliban knowing the kind of atrocities they did and will do in future . Let’s all pray for the people in Afghanistan and hope they see some light at the end of this dark tunnel .

Can't the people of Afghanistan organise a mass uprising against the Taliban?

There was protests and they were marching against the Taliban. But the Taliban is far more powerful with their weapons and barbaric methods. The people can only do so much. Majority of the civilians are extremely poor. Without the support of the military and government, there isn’t much that can be done.

The Taliban is IN POWER. They will rape and kill women FREELY and with laws being on their side. They will make LAWS which legitimize the suffering of women. Is it so, so damned difficult for you to understand?

Please focus on your Sonu Nigam. Unless you want to trade your citizenship with an Afghan that would rather be in your place, then by all means go to Afghanistan and see for yourself the generosity of the Taliban.

I find it pathetic that you consider Taliban occupation positive, but yet would never opt to have them elected as your government. Unless you’re willing to live and co-exist with them yourself, don’t wish it upon others.

I must commend you for being so civil. I would've earned at least three warning levels by now. Seriously. 🤣

It's a tricky situation. The USA has always acted on its own interests as far as history shows; it was also instrumental in creating the Taliban. So can't exactly laud it for being some liberating saint. At the same time, they are the only hope to clear up the mess that they had a role in the first place.

I get it. The U.S. played a lot of dirty games during Cold War. But the problem is not one-sided is what I'm saying. A lot of nations around the world do ask for U.S. intervention, then it's oh, they're invaders. Look at Iraq. They were celebrating when Saddam fell. Soon after, attacks started on the troops. At the end of the day, there are real people who send their sins and daughters to fight for someone else. After the decades of being maligned, the population has lost its appetite for such missions.

I mean, calling Taliban a U.S. creation (not you) is a bit blinkered when the locals joined the Mujahideen as reaction to Soviet invasion. The U.S. supported them with money BECAUSE there was call for U.S. intervention against the Red Army. Someone said Mujahideen later became Taliban. But Taliban itself was created in the 90s after the U.S. left. Ie, the U.S. was asked to intervene, then maligned for the same.

There is huge difference between one isolated case and an reign of absolute terror. The entire country is in uproar because of this incident. Do you think Afghans will have the freedom to protest against Murders of their daughters.

Do you remember the hadith Arslan, that only wish for others what you are willing to accept for yourself..

Are you willing to live under Taliban regime?

If so then OK, I can't comprehend it but I will accept it because I believe in freedom of choice but if you are not willing to live under it than do not try to justify the regime which is likely to cause immense pain to humanity.

Besides it, I think presently Afghan society is too fragmented to unify and put up resistance.
