But I will never wish for his death.

He needs therapy, he needs psychological help. Yes he tried to murder his own mother, such people are no good to the society. Where we all go wrong is in the system of unwinding. It's a big crime, but a problem's solution does not end with killing. It ends with guilt. What's the use if a person dies without regretting for his/her misdeeds? This is ITV they would invest more in emotional drama than the crux of the problem. But the truth is, anybody can learn from their crimes. A person being guilt ridden suffers worse with ache than any painful death.

Sorry cannot agree with you. A leopard never changes his stripe. A wolf can wear a sheep's clothing but that does not change his true nature. A psychopath never changes as these people are born evil. No psychiatric or medical help can change them or reform them because it is their nature. One cannot ever change their nature. He will never change and will find opportunities to hurt Raghav and Pallavi especially her. So it is better to kill him and let Aai do the work. Letting him live will cause further damage in future.

I actually think we’re all using the wrong term. He may be more of a sociopath than psychopath. If he was a psychopath he’d be much more devoid of emotions - fear and anxiety being some of them. But as a sociopath, he’d be much more irrational and prone to violent outbursts.

I’m no psychologist lol but I remember having/reading people’s discussions on the differences on Reddit for a kdrama I was watching 🤣. Psychopaths falling in love is a popular kdrama genre 🤣.

I remember the distinction is that psychopaths don’t recognize emotion even if they “feel” them. They have a hard time identifying emotion. But I think Mandar does experience emotion. His fear and anxiety of being caught is what caused him to kill his mother.

For some light reading on the differences.

I’m leaning towards sociopath.

Psychopaths rarely do change but if he’s a sociopath there are probably more ways to reform/rehabilitate him.

Yes Sociopath is the right word.

The difference between a psychopath and sociopath is conscience. A psychopath lacks conscience while a sociopath has it and choses to ignore it.

A sociopath accumulates these attitudes through the surroundings.(Which is applicable to Mandaar, we need to know his past clearly) Their actions are unplanned. Where as a psychopath imitates humans very well but doesn't feel or emote to them.

The key factor here is conscience, anybody who has conscience can be negotiated and brought back to well being if the right therapy is given. Unfortunately, most of the people, including some therapists look at superficially. The right decoding is needed.

Edit: We can come to that conclusion only when we know about Mandaar in deet. Until then we cannot come to a conclusion about his mental health.
