For acting all elists and woke, Saif def turned out to be complete opposite. It’s their child and they can name him whatever, but you would think he/they would like to incorporate the mother and her upbringing too.

I think Saif named this newborn as Jehangir because he still lives in past of being nawab and think his sons should also have royalty names associated with emperors from the past.

I think the issue is still Taimur, and the aftermath is Jehangir. 😆

And the Pataudi nawabs have nothing to do with Mughals. The pataudi line as noblemen was established by the British, they we are actually an Afghan tribe that supported British in the war 😆

Jehangir is actually Persian origin.

Mughal emperor Jehangir's grand mother - Hamida Bano was actually Iranian as well.

After Taimur, if they call their son Jehangir and say the just "liked the name". I think not 😆

Jehangir means King of the world in Persian. How are we associating the name with religion?

Hindu god Ram also did a lot of questionable things. That didn't stop people from naming their kids after him, so what's Jehangir?

Either way, let's say Saif likes Muslim names. Saif likes names of people who were emperors or historic names. His wife is also on board with these names. He's naming his own son these names which are common in other countries. I don't understand the issue. He's naming his own son. He's not forcing this name on a building or any public property right?

If you think about it, a celeb is getting criticized for naming his son a name he likes, for whatever reason he likes that name.

Saif's elder son and daughter are named after Prophet Ibrahim and his wife Sara... Both names are extemely common in Muslims..
