A pure heart receives divine blessings- Shri Krishna's divine message
Before the Kurukshetra war, Duryodhana invited Krishna to a lavish feast, hoping to win his favor — or at least his neutrality. Krishna refused, saying he only eats food offered with love, not obligation. Instead, he walked to Vidura's humble home. Vidura, flustered by the unannounced visit of the Lord himself, had nothing prepared and nervously offered simple banana peels, forgetting to remove the fruit inside in his excitement. Krishna ate them happily, peel and all, while his wife Sulabha watched in horror. When she pointed out the mistake, Krishna smiled and said the intention behind the offering mattered more than its form.
The episode captures one of the Mahabharata's quieter but sharper truths: Krishna's allegiance was never bought by wealth or status — it followed devotion and sincerity, even when it came wrapped in a banana peel instead of a golden platter.
