Yeah, that's what I said. Many people consider their cousins on the same level as brothers and sisters which is a good thing.

And anyone can be coerced, no matter how strong they are.

@ bold, makes no sense, many women are ok with whatever decisions their husbands take and they like 'belonging to their husband', taking their surname after all. There is nothing wrong in it. 😆

I know someone who has kept muslim name for their kids because their friends are muslims, so did their 'friends' coerce them?😆

No clue but it is a name or variation of that name that is used in some European countries. It's obviously not a popular name though. See what I feel is that if people want to give their kids certain names then sure whatever but if they are going to go all out and give their kids the full name (first and last) of an evil person then that is truly problematic and disturbing.

I think it matters in what country you live in and how deep rooted it is historically.

Say, keeping your child's name as 'Ted' is alright. But imagine you know you have a neighbour/ relative/ friend whose daughter has been killed by him and you name your child Ted, that is offensive.

Maybe Shehzadi Christina doesn't have a good ring to it 😆

I think it has more to do with the titles - they seemed to be obsessed with aristocracy. I don't think it has much or anything to do with religion 😆

I get you, I was simply saying that maybe both husband and wife liked and agreed to those names. Also, Sara is technically a Christian name as it has biblical/Hebrew roots. See, my first thoughts never go to religion so I was surprised to see this being turned into a religious debate. I also hope that Kareena isn't being forced to follow a religion she does not believe in. I was only expressing my doubts and giving another perspective on the topic. Nothing more, nothing less.

Since you are not getting the point. Let me make it clear to you. I personally don't care if someone names their kid Shaitan or Osama Bin Laden or Kim Jong Un.

But India is a Hindu majority country who were attacked, looted, forcefully converted and plundered again and again by Muslim rulers, just like Jews and others suffered because of Hilter or Americans because of Osama.

So if someone names their kid Taimur, name after the Muslim conquerer who came to India and looted, killed and plundered the country, they will get disapproval and protest from a section of public. If that seems bigoted, so be it.

I understand. 🤗

I was replying to the comment that people who share a name with a terrorist must also support them. I wasn't negating the hurt and sentiments of Indians. The point I was making was that just because someone shares a name with an evil person does not automatically mean that they also share the same beliefs as them or support their terrible actions.

@bold, yes they may not understand the implications many times and are ignorant; or sometimes they do support.

Reminds me how a terrorist used SRK's name as an alias and he ends up getting frisked every time. 🤣

Nawab thinks nawab giri will pass on through names. Atleast they are not doing the joker giri they did with dear Tim who sure will have many therapy sessions in future.

I understand. You missed my post pages back stating that I am not Indian so not familiar with their sentiments in regards to this but if it does affect the people then celebrities should be careful so yes I did get your point. I have nowhere negated these feelings and neither did I consider them bigoted. The comment about ignorance and bigotry was in regards to those who specifically mentioned Muslim names as being an issue and not just these specific names.
