Folks.
I am putting the link of the Kanwad Yatra video here too in case anyone wants to watch. Your understand why TRP audience are loving this Masala
To be honest, felt good to see this tradition being highlighted in an ITV show! First perhaps?
Also noticed in this video, how many were walking for a daughter! Heartwarming, no?
Here is one from ‘Somnath na Kawadiya’, for this Shravan.
Ours is a country where ancestral, traditional pilgrimage like this gets all the bad press most of the time & no pilgrimage subsidies. But still has survived for centuries, with faith, shraddha & resolve!
Are we now trying to make sasural Raavi ka...with animals playing imp roles🤣
ShiVi themselves practically cover the entire animal kingdom between them, toh unke aas paas bhi animals hi honge 🤣🤣
I know how that looks 😅
But read that book, you won’t feel that way 🙈

Even I didn’t see any such angle in books I’ve read before. But Palace of Illusions is written that way, not sure how much of it is true. Draupadi regrets spurning him during her swayamvar and there is an unspoken connection between them
I don't know how much of it is true. But I find it realistic and plausible. Afterall, after rejecting him the kind of roller coaster life she got into and later on realizing that he had all the qualities of an eligible husband and she dejected him for just the caste which actually he didn't belong to even🤷♀️

Yeah, in the book Kunti is also projected in a negative light. In other books, she seems like a docile sweet woman.
Likewise, Pandavas and Krishna too, not negative but you’ll find yourself preferring Karna to them.
Maybe it’s Chitra Divakaruni’s talent with words

Yeah yeah.. Kunti came across as a cunning woman who didn't take her words back and made Draupadi marry all 5 brothers in order to keeep them bound to each other with a string after her.🤷♀️
My next Divakaruni book will be The Last Queen
