Also on a seperate note, I watched teeny tiny bit of BV original version when I was in college with my cousin. It was the Sugna track. And they were probably the only show that showed periods track on ITV. It was also around the time Anandi was coming of age and had to be stay away from everything during her period.
I did lose track of it. However, what I really liked was that both Sugna (who was married as child bride) didn't end up with the guy she was married to and neither did Anandi. Jagya and Anandi ended up with someone else, right? But I felt like that story was already told with leaps and all. What more will they tell?
Best part of BV1 was that it never justified child marriage. It always showed how children suffer because of child marriage. Sugna's track was really good. She got pregnant at very young age and that was before her bidai. But her husband died and her in laws did not accept her . Later another guy from her village fought against society and his family to marry her . They showed Anandi completing her education and becoming sarpanch of her village. Makers did not show her going back to jagya even though he repented . They introduced another male lead for Anandi who married her because he loved her not because of sympathy
