A much needed outburst of Raghav......the poor guy was keeping mum for too long.
Amazing confrontation 👏🏻👏🏻
amazing start from the bts--although I could never imagine Raghav acting like that especially pouring liquor over Pallavi but an outburst was necessary
Please continue soon. Waiting eagerly for the next part. Loved this.
Mr. Don
Mrs. Don
Raghav woke up with the most horrible hangover ever but that wasn't the thing that was hurting him. He had hurt himself. No, it wasn't self-harm.
Last night, he must have been drunk but he didn't forget the occurrences. Probably, he won't ever forget those. He hurt himself by hurting Pallavi, the love of his life.
He will never forget the horrified look on her face when he snatched away her mangalsutra, which she would always hold so dearly as if it would give her strength, and the blood that dripped from her neck as the snatching had bruised the back of her neck. Physically, the pain had scared her skin but they were also inflicted on his soul.
Keeping all the thoughts aside, he let out a deep breath to begin a new chapter of his life without his cause of living, Pallavi.
"Mere bare mein hi soch rahe ho na?"
It was her voice and it wasn't from very far away. Without wasting any nanosecond, he turned around towards her side of the bed and there she was, just beside him. She had her head propped up with the support of an arm against the pillow. She was grinning at him. She had filled her hair parting with sindoor, like always. The only things missing were her mangalsutra and the ring.
Some of her hair flew over his face, due to the wind coming from the open window. Instinctively, he closed his eyes and smelled her hair. Strawberry it was, his favorite.
"Tum duniya ke pehle pati hoge jisska favorite kaam hain apne biwi ke baal smell karna," she stated the fact with a giggle.
That is when he snapped out of his dreamland and realized that she isn't supposed to be here. After what he did last night, she will never be this unaffected. All these might be his dream.
"Nehi, Raghav, tu pagal hogaya hain. Vo Saree Ka Dukan yaha kaise hosakta hain."
Dismissing her presence, he lightly hit himself on the head and rubbed his eyes.
"Aww... Mujhe nehi pata tha ki tum mujhe imagine bhi karte ho?" she laughed at his denial and pulled his cheeks. "Tum sach mein bohot cute ho, Ghamandi Rao!"
His eyes widened in disbelief. "Pallavi, tum sach mein yaha hain?" His voice was gentle, unlike yesternight.
She cupped his face, "Haan, Raghav, main sach mein yaha hoon," and gently caressed his stubble.
He stumbled out of the bed and stood up with his back facing her, "Nehi! Tum yaha nehi hosakta! Bhool gaya maine kal raat kya kya kaha tha? Chala jao apna Deshmukh House!"
She also got down and harshly turned him around to face her. "Excuse me, Mr. Raghav Rao! Tum hote kaun ho mujhe yaha nehi rehne dene wale? Yeh mera ghar hain!"
"Yeh tumhara ghar nehi hain! Kal maine humara rishta khatam karr diya tha na? Tumhara ghar ab sirf vo Deshmukh House hain. Ardhamainda?" He gave her his signature glance, which everyone feared.
But Pallavi wasn't just anyone. She didn't fear him, instead she laughed and walked towards the bedside table. Raghav was astonished at her behaviour. Last night, he behaved so violently. Yet here she was , laughing, absolutely unaffected.
While he tried to deduce the reason of her denial mode, she took brought a book from the bedside table. This book was an unforgettable part of their relationship. It's the book of Hindu Law Act, her favorite. He internally laughed thinking about what law she was going to use against him now.
"First one....Divorce with Mutual Consent." She read out from the book. "Pehli baat...mutual toh hain nehi. Chalo, agar main maan bhi gayi then.... As per Section 13B of Hindu Marriage Act, 1955 and Section 28 of the Special Marriage Act, 1954, the couple should be living separately for at least one year before divorce proceedings can begin. Section 10A of Divorce Act, 1869, however, requires the couple to be separated for at least two years."
He crossed his arms over his chest and listened to her attentively, impressed.
"Ab baat karte hain Divorce without Mutual Consent ki." She continued, "Reasons. First one, cruelty." She looked up and checked out his bare body, "Ek baar sirf jhadu se mara tha. Koi gaav toh nazar nehi aaraha. Next..."
One by one she listed out the acceptable reasons and also provided reasons why they were invalid in their case. After finishing, she slammed the book closed and threw it on the bed.
"Iss liye, Mr. Raghav Rao..." she walked closer to him, "Tumhare liye behtar yehi hoga ki meri aadat dal lo. Kyun ki na main tumhe divorce dene wali hoon aur na hi yaha se kahi jane wali hoon. Ardhamainda?"
This time, she was the one to glare and he went speechless. She spinned around, making her hair fly over his face.
"Ek aur baat..." She didn't turn back, "Jab main nahake bahar aaun, tab mujhe mera mangalsutra aur ring dressing table pe dikhna chahiye. Dobara itne achchhe se nehi mangungi," she warned him and walked into the washroom.
He couldn't help but smile at himself, thinking about how lucky he was to find the perfect companion for himself. The one who didn't fear to take a stand against him. But his happiness to get back his wife was cut short when he remembered how badly he must have hurt her the night before.
