I have a theory on this actually. I think she meant every bit of it when she said it, I think she still does- warna her reaction to Vijay literally falling at Raghav's feet was so much more thanda that I would have expected. She didn't even intervene much until Raghav also decided to agree to that pair dhona thing.

She may not respect him as a father, but does as a human, because that's who she is- isne bhare baazar mein aise insaan ko chaanta maara tha who she already knew had severely violent tendencies, just because she couldn't stand to see an old man getting insulted like that.

My theory is that she was deeply hit by the sorrow she saw Vijay and Sharda go through when Mandaar died. And seeing Mandaar come back to life, it's probably triggered all those memories in her and when she sees Vijay desperate for his son, she is taken back to the man who had a heart attack that nearly killed him when said son died, but still took in his widow and had her back, and itne mein woh pighal jaati hai. This thought first came to me when they took Mandaar home for the first time, and Vijay was stunned, and Pallavi gently held his hand and said I'll tell you what happened. She spoke to him in a much, much warmer tone than she ever has since the night she was thrown out. Because I think part of her is addressing the Vijay from two years ago, and not the Vijay she knows now.

Of course that's just my interpretation of it, I get where you're coming from too.

Agreed with all your points, but i find it difficult to believe that most viewers are women here, how hard is it to imagine a young widow's hardship specially whose husband died on the first night. Why does one need to be shown all of this, we have seen it in the past in reel and real life? The amount of taunts and blame she must have faced, it is not complete unknown, but people tend to forget.

But anyway, like i said some fans have gone above and beyond to prove their EQ, if they can support abuse and DUI, i cannot hope that they will understand the above situation even if it was flashed on screen 10 times.

If you go back to Aai and Pallavi's first scene. From the promos it was evident that Aai is not her biological mother, yet when Aai says that i am your Saas and you are my Bahu, she is taken a back. Not because Pallavi is delusional, just that she cannot accept her as her MIL anymore. I digested this idea then, so i am digesting even her savior complex. She did it for Keerthi too (and i am sure she will continue to do it), Amrutha and now Mandaar. Aare woh bas aapne Bhai- Beheno ko sambhal rahi hai, yeh saviour nahi Didi complex hai.

Gonna jump in here to add another perspective -

I think its not that people don't understand she has tremendous love for her family, it's why that is now forcing her to put her marriage on the back burner. It was somewhat tolerable before, but her decision to obey the kasam is, I think, what really threw everyone for a loop.

Before, when she did all those things, she was a single girl. When you get married, whether you are the husband or the wife, it is different from when you are a single person in your own family. She has to take her husbands feelings and even to an extent her MIL's feelings into consideration about these delicate situations.

In this situation, it is not just Pallavi's life that her decisions are affecting. And the question people have is, why does she not see and do something about that? It's affecting her marriage yet she can't bring herself to prioritize it over her humanitarianism, why? If Raghav comes to beg her to come back to RR mansion, will she go? What if Raghav gave her the same kind of kasam? Who is she going to prioritize? Which is why everyone circles back to, what is it really about D fam that is making her feel the need to consider their needs above everyone else's?

She has a savior/didi complex - I agree. But eventually she needs to see how it's affecting those closest to her.

I hope that's the outcome of this track - her understanding that she needs to create boundaries for herself.
