Mukesh was Raj Kapoor’s voice just as Rafi was his brother, Shammi’s. But there are quite a few songs picturized on RK and not sung by Mukesh. Duets may have been easier to find, and more popular, but there is no dearth of non-Mukesh solos sung on screen by RK. It would surprise you to know Rafi has sung scores of songs for RK and so have Talat and MannaDey. But I guess the Mannada ones are the most popular.
