I am floored by Aastha! What a beautiful character 😍

The calm with which she comes in, bears all the insults and then gives it back to Bhalla senior. Beautiful. The point is that Rami Bhalla is not used to women talking back to him. So if anyone does, it hits his male ego. Also, when men find nothing to insult about a strong women they insult her character aka akele rehi ho line. So typical. And her grace..just wow! Aastha and Shaurya are quite alike, no one ever knows when is going on in their hearts and minds. They hud their hurt very well and are equally savage with their replies. Only if shaurya could see it.

Back to the Sabs...I found the moment between tej and devi over phulka cute. Did anyone catch that eyelock? 🤣Still a better marriage than Alok's or Yash's!!!!! Also, what is it with finding a bride, let the boy chill, he just broke up. And were they discussing his future or shopping for clothes. Girls from small town so that they can control them? Wow! Typical sabs, have to link everything to sanskaar and fake ego. You feel sad when you realise how it's affected shaurya.

Shaan was shocked to know as no one bothered to tell him shaurya met aastha. He takes a stand for her behind her back, but could not 25 years ago?! What even?!?! Sabs don't realise how love can bind people and give them strength. You can love someone from afar. This oversight on their part is why they could never understand shakhi or break them. They don't value love. Nor did Shaurya..well.. until...you know..

The scene that broke my heart, shaan and shaurya. This 29 year old man is trying to get his father's attention for his achievements (magzine) and all his father wants to know is if Astha asked about him. It must be heartbreaking to have parents who could not care. 😭

Anokhi will fly, she just needs her wings. Adorable. Nothing can put her down. But her world is small and it needs to expand for her to grow! Again she argues with her father. Clearly due to her suffocating environment, a clear case of child rebellion. She is not giving lecture, she is behaving like a young person who is in a suffocating environment. Very natural!

Side note : Devi's comment on a beautiful Punjabi girl came true. He did find himself one

Side note 2: No wonder people felt the earlier episodes were slow and dragged. They were not, it's just that the FL was not swooning over a boy or put forward as a good girl. Her behaviour is typical of a rebel in a constructing environment. It's very real because I have seen people do this in late teens and early twenties. Also, for 15-20 episodes the ML and FL don't have eyelocks. So definitely the trp of the show never went up. The initial episodes are gold from a content perspective.

Shaan and Shaurya scene was interesting today. Shaan was shocked to know that Shaurya had met his mother. He very eagerly came to Shaurya to talk about it. Doesn’t he know that Shaurya hates Aastha? Asking him if he had taken blessings from her. And Shaurya was disappointed that Shaan is still thinking only about Aastha and not him. Felt really bad for Shaurya today.

How could Shaan expect Shaurya to take blessings from his mother knowing the resentment he has for his mother. No one in their right frame of mind try to question a 29 year old who doesn’t address the person as his mother. No wonder Shaan couldn’t earn an iota of respect from his son. He has grown up seeing his father neglect him and sob away days in his wife’s memory. I understand that he loves his wife but that shouldn’t have been the cause of neglect of a 4 year old who needs utmost attention, care and Love. My heart goes out to Shaurya who really wasn’t loved by anyone unconditionally. If I felt really uncomfortable in the Shaan Shaurya scene as an audience one can imagine what Shaurya must’ve gone through.

Sabhs.. what is their opinion of a girl from a town? How demeaning and disgraceful thoughts they have? I think they got their answer in the form of Anokhi.

Astha mam is one such lady with grace who can never let anyone pull her down. The way she conducted herself in a calm and composed manner in front of Me Bhalla is worth mentioning. Her calm stand did not make her stand/ savage relies any weak. No wonder Mr Bhalla is so against her. I wonder sometimes if Mr Bhalla ever thought about the century and the day we live in?

I’m completely in love with this flute background and keep listening it over and over. So soothing and pleasing to the ear.

As Anokhi’s win was celebrated by Aastha, Shaurya’s accomplishments were ignored by Shaan. Shaurya has Sabherwals around to stand with him but still has a lonely existence. Anokhi has the Bhallas too but also stands alone. Their experience is different but underlying lonliness match. One thing Anokhi has by her side is Shaurya’s mom, while he’s left truly alone! My babies really need the support they will find in each other - physically and emotionally!

One thing I loved is Anokhi choosing SIAC on her own because it’s the gold standard of education! She found her life’s destination all on her own! She picked the place, she applied, and she will be studying all on her own! Give the girl a dream and watch her fly! Anokhi’s shoes…they might not have wings but the sole will fly one day! 😉

Another notable character is Aastha Sabherwal!! The woman has spine and character. The reason Ramesh cowers is that he has no power over her. The way she demanded to see her student 👏🏾 Then corrected Ramesh that his daughter is a balik!👏 And forced marriage is a crime .

-Sabherwals wanted Shaurya to join the Rajya Sabha! Season 2 idea?

-Babli taking birth control pills! Thank god she had that forethought.

-Shaurya has threatened to move out of SH if Shastha come together. He’s not far behind on emotional blackmail…a Sabherwal trait!

-Shaurya said you touch someone’s feet when you have “izzat” and “sammaan” for someone. This made me laugh thinking about Shaurya’s future “paon choo” spree. 🤣

I want to know what the dress code for dinner is at SH. Devi looks like she's ready for a party and so do most the others, but then Shaan looks his "drunk" self and Shaurya looks like he's in pajamas and ready to go to sleep.

This is one thing I am still salty about amongst a few others that Shaan never completely apologised to Shaurya for being an absent and drunk father. That was so under played.

It's amazing that Shaurya even held an ounce of love for Aastha. He held onto 4 years of his memories and wasn't totally tarnished by 25 years of poison. That mental strength definitely came from Aastha.

Shaan's mistakes were all conveniently overlooked.

Makes you realise why Shaurya is so bitter. He is smart enough to know he is used as a 'son' by his BM and BP. Has a drunk for a father and absent mother. He has absolutely no emotional support system.

She is hard and soft in one go. Can fight and take flight.

I think Ramesh does not know what to do when women don't cower. He loses his wits. It's sad and hilarious. And so he resorts to insults and punishment.
