As some of you know, I have not been around much in the forum past few days but I kept watching the episodes.
Posting this after a lot of contemplation. People who are not up for criticism of actors, please skip. It is a long pending ranting post, about which I have ranted quite a few times but in a subtle way since I had given benefit of doubt. I had stopped giving them that even that in the recent past when things have become quite prominent. I am sure each one of us have different views about different things and I expect that this view of mine is looked at as my views and be respected. I feel this way and I have no comments or anything to say if others feel different about it. This is a forum and I think I can state my views without inhibition and I am doing it after a long long time trying to respect others sentiments but this time I would want to post my views, but please do remember that it is not hurt with any intention to hurt anyone’s sentiments but to call out on whatever is going wrong, to raise issues on the cast.
Also, I am no one’s fan. People who know me know that I had started to watch it for Sairat and I have continued to watch the show for the story of Sairat and Neilshas chemistry. I have been left clueless many a times with the so called social distancing scenes between the leads. I don’t understand in the stage that Sairat are, they still don’t show proper Sairat scenes.
Pulkit and Ajinkya have been much closer to Sai than Virat and Virat would be close to Pakhi circling her around while confronting her about why she sent Ajinkya to room. Virat will always only maintain distance with Sai? Why? I have been able to notice that the actor has not been comfortable doing any close scene with Ayesha and why should that be the case? Looks very unprofessional. I have supported him and said that as long as onscreen content is fine, I am happy. I have defended him supporting his fiance long before when people were bashing them when they used to take pics in their character costumes or when he used to support his fiance saying any fiance would do. I have always respected their personal life, have not even had issues watching their segment. I might be one of the few who would have watched the offscreen couple’s segments and that’s because they were like other actors for me. But I wouldn’t tolerate any kind of compromise in onscreen part. Many of us are watching it as a story of Sairat, their journey. It has become very very wierd that the actor always maintains distance from his costar or when body double is used in scenes where he is close to Sai. I really wonder how does the ph and the director accommodating so much. Just because they are friends, they are compromising so much? There are a lot of shows to watch romantic content but I am here for Neil and Ayesha and Sairat story. Why can’t they give us decent scenes? It has become very prominent in the recent past that Neil cannot even get close to Ayesha and act. The copy paste works in everything but just not in Sairat scenes. They will be cut short to a few seconds. Absolutely unprofessional I would say. If he is not willing to get that close with his costar and act, I don’t know what to say. Just a few hugs wouldn’t show anything. This is ridiculous. They always have a workaround for everything so that they don’t have to show the couple acting close. I am not here to look at their romance alone but when the ML is visibly uncomfortable, maintaining distance in all his scenes with his FL but not with the antagonist of the show, I can’t help but raise this as an issue, call out on the actor, the director and the ph. Am sure many can see. I know many have accepted that they are not going to show proper Sairat scenes. They too know but just don’t think it as an issue or some don’t even raise it as an issue. I won’t blame the director alone. How do I perceive the fact that Sai can act close with Ajinkya but there will be a visible distance between Virat and Sai almost always. If the same scene of Ajinkya and Sai had to be enacted by Neil, he would have sat with Sai like how he was when he and applied hand aid in her forehead, when he held her hands in the hospital. The same hospital scene if it was between Sai and Ajinkya, if Ajinkya was helping her as a friend wouldn’t have maintained social distancing. None of these are part of the story, the actor is visibly not comfortable. We have had enough of Sairat scenes to understand this.
I think there is honeymoon promo being shot, it is the trip where they will find Sairat. Mark it guys, the scenes will be nowhere like how it was in KD. If Virat Pakhi scenes can be shot that way, why not Virat Sai who are husband and wife as per the story?
I have enjoyed Neil’s expressions, his acting skills and was very happy with him. I would still be able to enjoy it but that doesn’t mean that I can’t express my displeasure about the actor. One can appreciate and actors and criticise them too.
The story can be quite upsetting but when I see someone being this unprofessional, it is an even more bigger put off.
High time that the actor and the directors change their ways and attitude. Whether we get scenes as in other shows or not doesn’t matter to me, what matters is that onscreen content are getting repeatedly affected, especially the actor who clearly isn’t willing to act in a few shots or scenes.
Once again, this is me ranting unhappy with the actor for whom I started to watch the show based on the promo.
All I want is for social distancing scenes to stop. It has become too evident now and it is very weird and annoying.
