However, it seems to mean different things depending on the emotions involved. It is supposed to give the wife's sole access to her husband sexual fidelity. There is a saying: not because you could you should. It's not exactly breaking news that Fateh, a man, would be sexually attracted and have relations with his wife, an attractive, willing woman. Duh.However, what Tejo will soon realize (as the audience does) is she was used. Doing the deed with her husband did not change his love for her sister. That is a terrible position to be in. Tejo put herself there.Sure, you state, Fateh initiated; ok. But she did say yes--without a thought to her sister; you know, the one whom she knows loves Fateh. She had not one moment of guilt or even thought of Jasmine. That speaks to her character or lack there of.

So, marriage is not platonic but usually the husband isn't in love with the wife's sister. Context matters.

Jasmine and Fateh I don't se any chemistry between them. They are both dumb and egoistic. Anyone with eyes can see the disappointment with jasmine and Fateh. If you call them as passionate ibadat e ishq couple then let me .

Worst character is Jasmine. She is playing Gippy, her family, her own sister just for her obsessions.

Fateh is no less.

All thanks to makers they failed in characterisation of the characters in the show. They are so flawed that no theory makes me to like them.

There was a trigger warning attached to the post. Clearly if you were going to be so bothered, you were advised to move on. I didn't claim to be a neutral viewer; I claimed to be a somewhat neutral viewer. The advice isn't for you, it's for non-rabid fans who can get the incessant bashing of Jasmine in every other thread. The thread did specifically state it is for those who are thinking about the show seriously.

I suggest you re-read what I wrote..slowly. There was never a justification of an ema. As I clearly stated, Fateh should stay with Tejo, as punishment. I said the heart wants what it wants but Jasmine should move on. I said, maybe, the show could leap 20 years ahead (as many shows do). Then perhaps, Fateh can be with Jasmine, if they do the right thing and not have an ema. Comprehension is fundamental to reading, even for the triggered.

Bold: Tejo unknowingly got herself in the position. It is unfair to blame the victim for a crime that others commit. She signed up for consensual sex with her husband thinking that he has moved on because that is what was portrayed to her. Why should she think of Jasmine??? In her mind Jasmine never loved Fateh...jasmine pushed her to marry Fateh and now is marrying Gippy. Furthermore why should she think of the sister who never thought of her???

why would fateh living with tejo will be punishment for him?
