Marathi: Some of these are dark and realistic
1. Jogwa : It is about two people who are forced by society to give up everything and become devotee of god. The guys in fact has to give up being a man and wear womens' clothes etc. It is based on real situation. Cenmatography is amazing.
2. Natrang: A story of a man who playes enunch in Tamasha (theatrical folk) group. It starrs Atul Kulkarni and I would say his best performance of lifetime.
Above two are dark movies which tells your reality of our society so watch at your ris
3. Fandry: This is from Sairat movie director. It is a story of 13 yr boy who faces caste discrimnination in villages
4. Killa : My all time favourite. It is about a 11yr boy who lost his father and nove moved to village from city with his mother. How he adapt to new things and new school. It is very simple story but exceution is very good. Again cinematography is top notch.
5. Mumbai Pune Mumbai: There are 2 sequels also but the first one is the best. It is light romantic movie. Having stayed in both Pune and Mumbai, I just connected immediately to it. Some dialogues and jokes are such that you can understand only if you know these cities and their stereotypes😆 But still one of the best romantic movies
6. Harishchandrachy factory : This is such a feel good movie. It is biographical yet light and fun. It is about Dadasaheb phalke making first Indian movie Raja Harishchandra
I also liked Court and Natsamrat (Nana Patekar movie)
