In this, Amrik is a grey character. He has always been in the periphery of the men in the house; shadowed by his famous boxer brother. So, he finally gets the chance to one up him. How?

Simple by letting him make a grave mistake - marry a girl who would never be able to adjust with their family or earn their Father's approval.

Jasmine was that girl who made Fateh change dreams from a National Boxer to finding a job in Canada. Fateh's importance and image lessened and clouded in Khushveer's mind. Isn't this a win to the younger less values son who can easily seep into these cracks and become his father's heir? Once his brother leaves for Canada; it is only him who would be left with his Father because One day Mahi would get married and leave too. The spare would become the heir.

Which can be seen as one of his main motivation in helping Fateh woo Jasso and then supporting Jasso trying his best to separate Fatejo because Tejo unlike Jasso is the perfect choice to be Khushveer's daughter-in-law. Her being Fateh's wife will instead increase Fateh's importance in Khusveer's eyes; not lessen him anyway. Tejo just by existing, destroys Amrik's plans.

And so he tries to get back JasFa. In fact their hookup is good for him. What better win than Fateh be caught cheating on Khushveer's perfect bahu with a woman who humiliated the entire family!

From the past as the one who made his brother lose showing Jasmine's photo to impress a girl to the present where he is dangling Jasmine's love in front of Fateh and Tejo to keep them separated and lead Fateh to lose everything by getting lured to Jasmine and finally cheating; Amrik's character can be a brilliant villain.

But alas....I don't think makers have that much imagination.

Would love your views!!!

Firstly I do think makers have thought of none of this😆.

I love your analysis. I used to hate the Amrik on the show but now you’re making me appreciate him a bit more. If the makers do end up showing what you’ve written above, Amrik may end up becoming my favorite character on the show. Not because he’s good per se but because he’d be the best written character like the one in Tainted.

I hope the makers make him a villain or grey character instead of this annoying nonsense, although he was right about Fateh’s love for Jasmine. Unfortunately I don’t think they will. But one can still dream.

Honestly I've several thoughts about this. Though I would say them only after this nautanki is over. Tbh sometimes we put way too much thought about this than the makers. (Seriously I don't know if writers have enough brain cells to come up with all the symbolism).

From the beginning of show, there is a way they've shown Fateh's relationship with tejo and jasso, and it's diametrically opposite. Jasfa had been very shallow, almost unlikeable (one is an obsessed stalker, other is a manipulator) pairing While fatejo had a base for a solid relationship. Though I've no idea what is going to happen. If Jasfa become a thing, they'll both be villains for sure. From the beginning there have been enough signs that Fatejo were gonna be together. But now idk how they're gonna redeem him enough.

Awesome analysis of character Amrik by you, Niki! 👏⭐️

I hope, makers don't plan to make TejRik as a couple! 😆 Tejo is better off all alone! 😎❤️

I thoroughly enjoyed reading this 🤩

Amrik’s motivation could be Tejo or even the fact that he wants to elevate himself in his father’s eyes.

I loved how you took all the in incidents that one can mistake for coincidences and analyzed them thoroughly.

There are so actually so many hints for the fact that Tejo, Amrik and Fateh’s lives are interconnected (maybe). I know makers will never go in depth 😭

Thank you for tagging me Niki! Your analyses are always a treat to read ❤️

Superb analysis Niki! Love reading your posts!

New to the forum.. started watching around the wedding episodes and boarded the Fatejo Fan Express!

However, considering the current storyline, I don't think makers can do justice to Fatejo endgame.😔

Glad to see all of you deliberating about the potential in Amrik's character. I thought I was the only one looking forward to his character arc before visiting the forum. 😆

I would love to see a combination of both your theories where it starts with Amrik's grey shades but transitions into his character development and ending up with Tejrik (may be)! 😉

Amrik Singh Virk is a weird combination and makes me want to applaud his tenacity and hit him simultaneously.

The younger son of the Virk family, he is already the spare to the heir. With his brother being the famed figure that he is with being a famous National Boxer and his father being a roaring personality with immense power of being a MLA; Amrik measures up to none.

He is only the side thought! One that just exists when his brother needs something to be done or needs someone to cheer him in the arena. Frankly he is no important figure.

And then there is his initial actions when to impress a girl, he holds up Jasmine's photo and makes Fateh lose. Please pay attention to this. This was the incident that brought my attention to him. He sacrificed his brother's winning match to impress a girl who wanted Fateh to lose. To fulfill something for himself, he can make his brother lose. Do hold this thought.

Fateh lost and ran after him for the pic. It was in his hand and he was moving away from Fateh when he collided with Tejo.

His life stopped there when he had to face the consequence of the collision as Tejo and he got into a heated altercation and the photo fell down. Tejo had her own picture that fell down too and both interchanged. Tejo is taken away by Abhiraj just as Amrik picks up Tejo's picture instead of Jasmine's.

This entire sequence brought many questions to my mind. Did it mean Tejo is to be paired to Fateh or will Amrik step up to be a lead soon. I had just watched Twisted the series a couple of days back and I was in awe how a side character of a detective in the first part could step up to be the lead in the second part. So I was wondering if that is how it will go because Amrik picked up Tejo's picture. Either it is him or he would be the bridge for Fateh and Tejo.

Amrik supported his brother in each of his wacky plans to convince his family to get him married. From pretend drunk to having an array of fake relations to worry their parents into getting Fateh married; Amrik was the strongest support to Fateh. He did everything Fateh said, playing a huge part in wooing Jasso. In fact he might be the only person apart from Tejo and Fateh who knows all of Jasmine's likes and dislikes.

In all this, his end goal was JasFa.

Also, he managed to unknowingly create problema for Fateh. When Fateh is trying to impress Tejo, Amrik had taken his bike the previous day and emptied half the fuel. As a result his bike stopped in middle and Tejo was even more pissed. Amrik here stopped the reconciliation or bettering of relations unknowingly between Tejo and Fateh.

A role that he takes actively in the present, trying to instill inside Tejo that Fateh is Jasmine's and trying to make Fateh see that Jasmine loves him a lot and he betrayed her.

While the wooing drama, he is the first one to get unmasked. Tejo reaches him first and mistakes him for Jasso's secret admirer; gifting him a tight slap. He barely lets out a weak "Tejo ma'am" when Tejo grasps his collar and literally shakes him like a milkshake. Instead of Fateh, it is Amrik that suffers the brunt of Tejo's anger. Amrik is the guinea pig for Fateh's action. Does this mean that he will take the fall again? Maybe get hitched to Jasmine who is Fateh's mess altogether or maybe Tejo in future if the story takes a turn?

Coming to the most important part of my analysis: The motivations of Amrik Singh Virk.

What motivates him to help Fateh? What motivates him to want JasFa even after the entire humiliation kand and that Fatejo are married? What is his motivation to still consider Jasmine as his Bhabi or despise Tejo; never calling her Bhabi?

So many questions.

I have two interpretations for This.

1) This one is very popular in the forum. I agree to have started it but it has been changed and tweaked a great deal now.

According to this, Amrik likes Tejo. Or is affected by her in some way that he doesn't want Fatejo at all😌

This is the TejRik version.

2) My second theory is a shade darker. I had it in subconscious but finally got concrete understanding when I was reading one of Tahiti's fanfiction. It finally became concrete and I have it here for all of you.

y

😂 everything comes down to ‘makers don’t have such a creative imagination’ which is true. Amrik having an ulterior motive or fateh planning to expose jasmine? Makers are not that creative.

I don’t think Amrik likes Tejo. But I used to think he liked Jasmine 😅. God knows what the characters are doing.

The makers should read the fanfictions😂 at least give us a good storyline for tejo.

Elevation in Papa Virks eyes would definitely soar if devar swoops in and rescues a pregnant bhabi to save family izzat, coz disgraceful veere managed to ensure "Log Kya Kahenge" to scream louder than the MLA campaigners

👏amazing analysis👏

I love your knack for providing us with such depth

I rather read all your analysis repeatedly🤗

reading from this perspective about Amrik👏👏👏

if I find myself watching this thing again, Imma probably gonna only be watching for signs and hoping for TejRik to happen. He has the most potential to grow spectacularly,

CVs need to take their cues from you👏👏👏

@italics- given that ITV shows love to play around with symbolisms, this could very well happen. udaariyan has a knack for constantly reference the 'kismat ki dor' stuff. so I guess it's a possible scenario.

@bold- this is officially my headcanon. thanks for putting it into perspective for me! amrik's tenacious dedication to Fateh's 'jasmine patao' crusade has always left me confused. after mulling over it for a while, I thought that perhaps was just the little brother that is tirelessly devoted to his elder brother.
