Since this place is active now, I’ll give you girls the synopsis of a few romance novels and you have to choose the one you would like to read. These are amongst the list of books given to me by Hinna for next month’s book pick. Shanam and Hinna were to come up with a list together, but since Shanam is busy (I think), we will read a pick from the list of books Hinna came up with.
We will choose one from Shanam’s list whenever she comes back.

There will be two books to read next month - a romance novel, based on your choice and another book (that is less than 300 pages).

Synopsis of the first book. I won’t mention the author or the book’s name so that you can decide just on the basis of the synopsis. I’ve removed the names of the characters as well 😛

Love Is Blind meets You’ve Got Mail in this laugh-out-loud romantic comedy following two thirty-somethings who meet on a blind dating app—only to realize that their online chemistry is nothing compared to their offline rivalry.

Perpetually cheerful and eager to please, G C strives to make the best out of every situation. So when her father dies just months after a lung cancer diagnosis, she sets aside her dreams of pursuing her passion for art to take over his Midtown Manhattan champagne shop. She soon finds out that the store’s profit margins are being squeezed perilously tight, and complicating matters further, a giant corporation headed by the impossibly handsome, but irritatingly arrogant S A is proposing a buyout. But G can’t bear the thought of throwing away her father’s dream like she did her own.

Overwhelmed and not wanting to admit to her friends or family that she’s having second thoughts about the shop, G seeks advice and solace from someone she’s never met—the faceless “Sir”, with whom she connected on a blind dating app where matches get to know each other through messages and common interests before exchanging real names or photos.

But although G finds herself slowly falling for Sir online, she has no idea she’s already met him in real life…and they can’t stand each other.

Two best friends. Ten summer trips. One last chance to fall in love.

P and A. A and P. They have nothing in common. She’s a wild child; he wears khakis. She has insatiable wanderlust; he prefers to stay home with a book. And somehow, ever since a fateful car share home from college many years ago, they are the very best of friends. For most of the year they live far apart—she’s in New York City, and he’s in their small hometown—but every summer, for a decade, they have taken one glorious week of vacation together.

Until two years ago, when they ruined everything. They haven’t spoken since.

P has everything she should want, but she’s stuck in a rut. When someone asks when she was last truly happy, she knows, without a doubt, it was on that ill-fated, final trip with A. And so, she decides to convince her best friend to take one more vacation together—lay everything on the table, make it all right. Miraculously, he agrees.

Now she has a week to fix everything. If only she can get around the one big truth that has always stood quietly in the middle of their seemingly perfect relationship. What could possibly go wrong?

He's a troubled young actor, Hollywood's newest heartthrob, struggling with fame as the star of the latest superhero franchise. Through scandal after scandal, addiction on top of addiction, a flurry of paparazzi hunt him as he fights to conquer his demons.

She's a single mother, assistant manager at a grocery store, existing in monotony with her five-year-old daughter. Every day when she goes to work, lurid tabloids surround her, the face of a notorious bad boy haunting her from their covers.

A man and a woman, living vastly different lives, but that wasn't always the case. Once, they were just a boy and a girl who bonded over comic books and fell in love unexpectedly.

When KG met JC back in high school, she knew he had all the makings of a tragic hero. With stars in his eyes, and her heart on her sleeve, the pair ran away together to follow their dreams.

But dreams, sometimes, turn into nightmares.

Now, years later, the only thing they share is a daughter—one who has no idea her father plays her favorite superhero. But J is desperate to make amends, and at the top of his list is the woman who gave up everything for him and the little girl he hasn't yet met.

It tells the story of a seemingly perfect marriage rocked by secrets from the past.

High-school sweethearts M and E lead a seemingly picture-perfect life in the sleepy-sweet community of Oak Hill, near Mobile, Alabama. E is a respected interior designer, M is a beloved pediatrician, and they have two great kids and a historic home on tree-lined Linden Avenue. From the outside, the Swan family is the definition of “the good life.” And life is good—mostly. Until a young woman walks into M’s office one day. A young woman whose very existence threatens all M and E have built and all they think they know about each other.

Nineteen years after a summer apart, with a family and established lives and careers, the past that M and E thought they left behind has come back to greet them. For the first time, constants in their lives are called into question: their roles as parents, their reputation as upstanding members of the community, and the very foundations of their marriage. As they wade through the upheaval in both their family and professional lives, they must each examine choices they made long ago and chart a new course for their future.

Some things are easily forgiven. Other things… not so much.

L D made herself a promise: she was done.

Done thinking about him.

Done worrying about him.

Done reaching out to a man who clearly didn’t want to be found.

Too bad no one gave J C the memo.

Like the ones that appeal to you. You can choose more than one book.

Hinna, please like the ones you want to read even though you have selected the books.

If you like Sidney Sheldon, go for Alistair MacLean, he's good too.
