More than learning languages itself I am more interested in knowing history of evolution of different languages. How these languages evolved over the thousans years and impacted different culture, how Indo-European languages developed throught migration and impacted different civilizations in great deal, really fascinate me.

Languages can be so fascinating. One word. Can be used in so many different contexts. 🤪

I love hearing Marathi, cannot speak it for the life of me.

I'm actually a Kokani speaking girl, and I've noticed we have a quite a bit of words similar to Marathi. But the actual marathi has its own magic tho

Indeed, Afreen. No matter how incredibly amazing stuff I watch in other languages, everything in Marathi hits different.

I still haven't been able to get over Mumbai Pune Mumbai which happens to be a Marathi movie. Let's not even get to the songs.

I agree! Speaking and Listening is still manageable for me but I struggle with reading and writing because it involves grammar and sometimes they don't make much sense to a non-native learner (like French, what on earth is up with La and Le? ) and then also the script.

Has anyone read New IF article on Param where he talked about acting? His answer is so deep and philosophical.

"The best part about my work is that in front of camera, you have to be more truthful than you can be in real life. You feel that for a certain period of time, you have to be so truthful and honest about what you feel, and how you want to behave because nobody will judge you. Also, sometimes, you are not you for a period of time and it gives you a sense of not belonging and not having that ego that I am some identity or something. I feel acting, or any art, takes you away from self, and sometimes brings you closer to yourself, so I think it is a very spiritual thing. I feel it is always on the move, you meet people, and you are doing different things. It is a feeling that I am not able to articulate and express, but when you feel it, you feel alive.''

I never thought actign in that light. Mostly we think actign is pretence and what we do in real life is honest and reality. But even in real life, we most of the time hide feelings, opinions and behave as per social norms, be is simple thing like dressign according to occasion even if we don't feel like. But as a character maybe actors needs to show true emotions of that character all the time as characters wont be afraid of being judged or havign real impact once actor comes out of character.

Ye Param sach me itna mature hai?smiley3smiley36

I need to think more about these line. Thought provoking for me.
