So, Devdutt Pattanaik brand of fiction is definitely not my cup of tea, but I do read them because I like to understand what people find alluring in Contemporary writers.

I started reading Devdutt Pattanaik's 'My Gita' but found it very different from the actual Ved Vyas 's Bhagvad Gita!! Like he didnt understand the actual essence of Gita!! 😒

Exactly. His fiction is more interpretation rather than contextual.

If anyone loves mythology based fictions, here my recommendations.

1. The second Turn

2. Asura

3. Palace of Illusions

4. Bhima

5. Sita’s Sister

Some historical ones!

Shadow Princess trilogy by Indu Sundaresan.

White Mughals

Wow thanks for this list I'm saving it😳

Have been wanting to read a good mythology for long.

Maybe will start with Sita's sister

It’s a good read. It’s about Urmila and her pining for Laxman. If you want something more intense, I’d suggest you start with the Palace of illusions by Chitra Banerjee Divakaruni.

It's a specific taste, but after becoming disappointed with all the love triangles that popped up in media after Twilight (I hate love triangles that are meaningless and serve no purpose), I changed gears and turned to manhwas and have never turned back.

Most of the stories get repetitive with the same themes, but there are some really great ones out there. Plus, it's always great to visualize some of the manga boys 😂
