I am happy we have a lead who is ready to fight against the system. And as Aps said, the jr Ts joining them is refreshing too. Having said that, certain times I have felt that makers were trying to put in certain elements that will make it look like they are diluting the discrimination shown by the Ts, that could mislead people to think that it is okay to have such a mindset. Thats why I was concerned. Because these social elements are still perceived as normal in our culture, so I feel they should not be portraying them in such a fashion. They need to be clear what their stand is. May be I am thinking too much, but it disturbs me the dangerous way the track is going.

Also that if we have a redemption track, then really how, HOW are the makers gonna correct the Tripathi's because clearly they have completely marred those characters. I know Aps, that we need to have the patience and the ability to forgive if people correct themselves. But these mentality, and the way they have shown abusing Imlie etc.. does't deserve forgiveness. So if a redemption happens, would that not be sending a wrong message? 😅

Also, even when we can see that Imlie is as empowered as Adi and is enough to defend for herself, we can see only Adi straight up communicating to the Ts. Imlie is just hoing in loops asking them to accept her, silently listening to every taunt they throw at her. They are clearly doing that to impress the Indian audience, because a typical "bahu" should not retort even if baseless accusations are thrown at her. Which is again wrong!

I will not reiterate my view on the redemption track, as I feel the T's right now are just echoing what they have been conditioned for. Like I said, it is all words for them, kyunki if they really wanted to hurt her, the would not bargain with her. Compare this with AC's behavior and you will understand. AC never tried to bargain with her to go out of Adi's life. She only accused her or manipulated her into thinking that Adi & Malini are happy as she has gone out of the T house. Yahaan the entire family is trying to hold on to her, just separate her from Adi. SO they are trying all the tricks in the book to either make her leave him on her own accord or change her mind by tempting her with what she wants - their acceptance.

Even today, while Aparna asked the tailor to take away that dress, she did not destroy it in front of her, which someone like AC would have done. Also take into account that Aparna loves Imlie so much that she got a custom made dress for her with special zari work in 24 hrs. You do not do that for a charity case. You do that for someone you really care for. So I still feel her core is good, which is why when she does redeem herself, I dont think a wrong message is being sent. Even abusers who realize their mistakes and take counselling to change their ways are accepted back in society, hell even murderers are after they finish their jail sentence. So if someone with a good core can realize what they did was wrong, apologize and make honest efforts to make changes in their behavior and accept Imlie, is not sending a wrong message.

As for Imlie, her character is one that will not oppose by shouting back or making an issue. Even today, she subtly gave back to Radhaji when she taunted back saying we can continue with this later, please tell me what to do. Imlie's tareeka is much more subtle than others for anyone, not just for the T's. Even in teh first episode, in that shaadi where the guest was asking for a thaal for food to be served, she gave it back to him politely till he understood that he was being served in the best way on the leaf plate. While it may look like she is being tortured, she has resigned to wait patiently and choose her battles, rather than make every situation into an issue. So there also, the makers are showing battles need not have be fought by fighting always. Sometimes waiting and giving the other side space to evaluate their actions can also make them surrender.

Nishvi ke muh dikhayi pe she declared to everyone that all is well in her son's marriage. But her ladla beta has some other plans. Sucks to be her😆

specially right now, silence is golden.. when no one is actually in the right frame of mind to even listen. They will hear but not listen to understand. Having said that, limit! Only so much of silence. Somewhere for everyone that limit reaches. I am hoping to see that. Imlie in her own way, respectfully needs to speak...not to answer questions or taunts, but to speak her mind and heart. I want to see that!
