Around 100th episode or so, when Imlie left for PD, everyone in the house started worrying for Imlie and they were requesting her to comeback. Then Adi did not express his love for Imlie yet, she just want to stay away from the family so that she will not be a coming in between Adi and Malini. All the family requested her to come back and even Adi failed to convince her and he had to return from PD alone.

Even after coming back from PD, Adi’s and BK’s(whom she respects the most) request to come home,did not work on her. She left to live in hostel. Finally Adi had to blackmail her that he would leave the T house for her, then she agreed on a condition.

Here didi, promised KC that she would not go to T house .Adi clearly stated 101 times that he loves Imlie, but still one phone call and just a mention of Adi that he is expecting her she goes running.

But still didi is sacrificing and she is mahaan…really…again what did she sacrifice? Self respect?

Exactly. That is why I have always been saying that whatever the T's throw at her, she has heard worse in her village for her mother & for herself. Imagine that NN for 18 years has been calling her these exact same names. While everyone will say that the T's were nice to her and everything, but again Imlie knew it was temporary and things will change when they would know the truth. She had always been prepared for this and somewhere that preparation is paying off. She expected to be alone, but she landed up having an immense support system, lead by Adi who is right now on a crusade to change the thinking of his family & society. Imlie does not know if he will succeed, somewhere she does not even expect him to, as this is years of patriarchy & purani soch that he is fighting against, ek ya do din mein change hone nahi wala hai. But she is willing to support him wholeheartedly in every way, so that he has her strength & belief as his bastion while fighting this battle.

Imlie is well aware of her place, that is why despite everything she refuses to give up and leave. While she is confident of Adi's love, she is also well aware that the T's are not bad people, they are just now very angry and using every trick in the book to stay angry & justify their behaviour.

I think Imlie is sorted in a way... and is in a good place. She is confident now about her relationship and what place she holds in Aditya's life. As to whether the Ts accept her and when, I think one of the main reasons was that she did not have a family and that family setup was what she fell in love with and wanted. She says this in one of the earlier episodes.

She will wait for the support to come her way and will probably be more than forthcoming in forgiving also and forgetting. Whether Adi will, and to what extent is what remains to be seen.

I agree Aps! Totally makes sense! If the Tripathis realize their mistakes and change..well and good! But the viewers should not glorify them and find excuses to right their wrong because they like those characters. You see thats where the writers failed to send the message. Thats really bad, because these daily soaps reach every nook and corner of the nation and makers need to be clear on what they are trying to do. Viewers could easily be mislead. Even I want a redemption really legit and strong to be written for Ts because that will be the final message the show is gonna promote. They should not be callous handling it.

My only issue is on glorifying or making peace with or trying to be easy while interpreting what the Tripathis say and do. See, such toxic matters cannot be sidelined just because makers showed us some hints that they MIGHT turn around and they might have had actual love for Imlie.

Its like saying that one can, with time, change their abusive husband by staying compliant and accommodating, and so they should not state the obvious. Domestic abuse is bad! So is social/gender/class discrimination. Nobody can justify it or make excuses and dismiss it. Makers cant do that. These social elements are so toxic they turn good people do the unthinkable. My only concern is the viewers, they need to understand what is right and what is wrong. Makers should not handle such sensitive issues carelessly, like they did with the suicide track.

Just remembered one scene that I forgot to call out today- the one where Adi was apologising to Imlie, that convo actually showed us how ashamed is Adi about his parents. That felt really good!

Already itv & movies influenced our society a lot. Glimpses of that is evident everywhere. But still we all are in denying that .

Based on this show negative side of T’s will not have much influence… only thing is ML fighting against the system.

Already adhithya have once said he was disappointed against the system & all. (Diya episode) . So now he has got a opportunity to go against the system. For that he doesn’t expected even though he has to start fight from his own home.

T’ s hypocrisy is shown from initial episodes between differences in treatment among son & daughter of house. Rupi voiced against it . They always concerned about saving face that’s why they invited Rupi’s in law to Adhithya’s marriage. Whatever Anu says they will not defend. Even after Malini come they placed above all & even Nidhi .

Earlier T’s action is not throughly analysed since there is lot of other plots . But now we get chance to analyse them.

Viewers must go through positive point only. Makers have limitations in this regarding… since over all story is very sensitive…. If any element goes beyond drama they will surely face consequences. So they have to keenly balance.

Don’t forget recently an very sensitive international issue is discussed in one Tamil movie wrapped under Pakka mass action movie , even though it correctly hitted the target.

Soap opera has not much range as a movie even though it opens wide platform for discussion.

I am not familiar with any other shows apart from this . But stil I feel this story very high potential to explore many dark thoughts of society.

S se sacrificing, S se self respect, S se samjhdar...S se sulji hui ka S se SURE SURE hi milega hum se..!

No amount of reasons (unless it is as extreme as death) were justifiable for Malini to come back to T house. Her character is messed up..so badly. S se sorry bhi nahi feel hota ab toh!

Exactly. She flips every minute and no resolution. At least if she turns negative, her character will earn respect
