Now I wish I were a person who could cry easily while watching movies/shows. *pouts 😒

There’s only one movie which makes me cry like anything, Veer zara- as soon as the tere liye sequence comes up.

I usually dont cry in romantic movies...Is that weird??? Scenes which make me tear up, are like the scene in Taare Zameen Pe, when Nikumbh sir draws Ishaan's portrait as an ode to his favorite student.. Ishaan walks upto him, and sees it..he is so overwhelmed and so is Nikumbh sir.. I always cry in that scene..even now...

Parul, I actually don't cry easily at all in movies (Veer Zaara is an exception for me too- the qaidi number 786 poem and Tere Liye, especially). But IDK what it is about Pallavi that her emotions hit me so deeply. I've cried with and for her so many times in this show, I don't even understand it myself. Chalka Chalka Re was the first time, and since then it's been like this only. Pallavi roti hai toh main bhi roti hoon.

Awww. I am so glad you can read into her character so deeply Ashi. It’s a whole different level experience when you understand a character so well. ❤️

This show is extremely precious to me and I do watch it everyday without a fail, but sometimes I wish that I were less distracted otherwise and could invest more of myself in the show. Nevertheless, it’s such a beautiful distraction.

I think the characters are beautifully written. I was today only thinking the day show concludes I am going to send a thank you note to sickand for giving us such layered, close to life characters and some phenomenal scenes. Except for the few lags here and there, they don’t fail to make us feel for them.

@bold : - I absolutely adore Pallavi in that yellow green bridal look. In Maharastrians we usually go with yellow + red or Yellow + green combo. Mine was yellow + red with lots of green bangles. She was so pretty as the new Marathi bride - the contrast to her in that image to the full cover up blouses and bland colors - you got to feel her pain.

@bold: if you need I can share some of my tears with you. I am a person who cry even in a small scene 😊.

Fun fact: I have cried for more than 2 days after reading Harry Potter 🤣

Your yellow, red and green attire sounds lovely :) Thanks for sharing a bit about the culture- I know nothing, and learning these little facts makes the scenes so much more layered.

That sequence- I can talk about it forever. It felt like we were seeing two different people. The sparkling eyes, bright smile of the dream-Pallavi, and the wistfulness in the eyes of present-day-Pallavi, the contrast in attire. It hit so deeply. And I love how Nikhil pulled her out of the reverie, and within a second she was smiling so brightly, dancing with Mansi and Amrutha and Nikhil. Perfect analogy of what her life had become- lonely, wistful, but putting up a facade of being so very happy for the sake of her family.

That scene was the reason I got so emotional when the vat savitri BTS came out- it was beyind heartwarming to see her dressed somewhat similarly to that fantasy, and being actually happy and content.
