Happiest Season

Hello everyone. Myself Aditi. Though I am not new to this forum, I was inactive since 2012, after IPPKND ended. Feeling bored since lockdown,so thought of watching some movies. I prefer mostly romcoms and most recently one movie caught my fancy. Happiest season. A Christmas movie, Hulu original. Starring Kristen Stewart and McKenzie Davis. Though it's a movie based on homosexuality, I loved the movie and it was a nice watch. Don't know how many have watched as due to pandemic lot of movies went unnoticed. What your thoughts regarding this movie and if bollywood ever makes movie like this, though I have my own reservation how bollywood will portray this angle, whom you think will be better to play Abby and Harper?

I don't think bollywood could ever make a film like that, such nuances and inside jokes which are actually hilarious.. it's a wholesome movie and I absolutely love it! It is one ot those movies that would make you cry by laughing and also actually cry cuz it hits so deep.. it is also very sweet and feel-good movie! 😳 I'm glad you liked it!

Thanks a lot buddy for replying. Yes it's a wholesome entertainment. Being a K stew fan since ages, I seriously wanted her out of Bella shadow and this movie along with few others proved so. This movie made me laugh,made me emotional and the most important part is that one can connect to the characters. Though Harper's family was wierd, but Jane is a sweetheart. The ensemble cast along with the leads were awesome. I seriously hope one day bollywood too will make feelgood movies like this without ruining the essence.

Kristen is fabulous!! And she has done a lot of amazing films! I haven't even watched her as Bella 😆

Harper's family was kinda stereotypical and I know what it feels like to be in a family where everyone wants to be perfect, that's how your parents will love you.. it was portrayed beautifully.

I would love to watch feel-good movies in Bollywood, I don't think I could name any.. they just don't try.. 🤔

True dear. K Stew is awesome. Camp x ray is another example of her acting power.

These feelgood movies are need of the hour. Being a doctor myself, this Covid time is really lifesucking. Every day we see lots of people coming to hospital, lots of them dying. It's pathetic. It's draining. Everyday we pray this pandemic to be over. Recently got a month off after 7 months 24*7 work. Really wanted to come out of covid nightmares.

And the best companion is your family, spending time with them and to watch some light movies or shows. Glad that got this movie. Hope to watch some more ligh hearted ones before joining work again.

You should watch Good Omens on Prime, you'll like it!
