Watched it thanks to all the good reviews here! I agree, episode was quite good overall. There had been so many chronological inconsistencies, that I was sure would go unaddressed but they did a fab job of tying it together, while leaving enough open threads to keep the mystery going.
I really loved the jail scene, so so much. Finally, an open conversation, and Raghav's side of the story is out.
@bold- I've been getting this vibe for a while. I also get the sense that somehow, Ayi knows a little bit more than she's letting on, even if she doesn't know the exact details. Ahhh, I hope this is true! This is the one story I've really wanted if Mandaar isn't actually dead- that he ran off and faked his death.
Alsooo, I'm curious- according to Raghav, the person was discharged the same night. The Deshmukhs got Mandaar's body a week later. These missing days are where it's all at- what was Mandaar doing in those days? Whose body did the Deshmukhs get? How did the body get identified as Mandaar's with such certainty after a postmortem?
I really loved the song selection too!! It is just the perfect song for Raghav. My only nitpick, I wish they'd used the original song and not the cover, but I understand that gets very expensive, so no big deal. It did it's job.
I'm not happy with the editing of the episodes though. I sort of wish the jail scene was one episode, and the home scene another. I wanted jail to be a bit longer, this revelation had been so long coming, I didn't like speeding through it in less than half an episode.
I too was hoping Raghav asked how did they identify Mandar after a week ? I liked the fact that Raghav was told the victim was doing good and went with his family - that made him determined to protect his sister from the fallout. Yeah accident happened but the person survived - no big deal.
I guess the D family's truth will be out later when Raghvi visit them. I hope somewhere both Raghav and Pallavi ponder over what happened that night.
Regarding the pace of the episode I guess they are closing Mandar accident this week and next week would be Raghav in hospital. So they have 2 episodes to get Sunny's truth and D family confrontations out of the way. Hence the pace is quick I feel.
I actually felt Raghav - Pallavi scene in room was paced good and the song is apt for Raghav's state of mind. He just can't believe he has gotten so lucky with Pallavi. I have observed that since Raghav has practically no monologues the creatives give songs to describe his inner feelings - like Tum aa gaye ho noor aa gaya, tere saath saath koi noor aaya hain, and now this. So putting the songs together you can see the acceptance of Pallavi's importance in Raghav's life.
