Dysfunctional characters that you love?

I loved Sridevi in Judaai. Her character was seriously a crackpot to sell her husband and Sri's acting did full justice to it. She emoted greed, vulnerability so brilliantly with subtle comic relief in between. I can't imagine any other actress could have pulled that role.

This character was a manipulative sociopath but I think it was on of Akshays best films

All these questions make me feel like am writing an exam, and I have to brush up on the syllabus. I dont remember most of the movies and their characters after I have watched them.

Haha. I only read the title and Sridevi's character from Judaai popped up in my mind even before I opened the thread lol.

I found her character absolutely hilarious, and I MUST give credit to Sridevi for her amazing portrayal.👏 She perfectly played the flawed character and it didn't go over the edge. I am certain I would've hated the character or would've found it "too unlikable" if it was portrayed by someone line Madhuri/Juhi. 👎🏼

Yes, the film is "stupid" in several parts but isn't that the whole point of that movie though?I think it's is a great way to teach kids "Money can't buy everything" while having a good laugh watching at Sridevi's antics.😆

1) Urmila from Kaun.😈
2) Circuit from Munnabhai series. 😃
3) The trio from Hera Pheri series, especially Raju.🤣
4) Poo from K3G.😆

Also, in Sarabhai vs Sarabhai, I absolutely adored Monisha and her middleclass-yat😆🤣

Same for the gossip queen Jayshree from Khichdi.😃

Not sure about dysfunctional, but at the time certainly unconventional. Viren (Abhay Deol) in Socha Na Tha. He was mean to his girlfriend and quite selfish all around but the way Abhay performed mad Viren understandable, funny and a teensy bit adorable. Apoorva Jha, who played his girlfriend, was superb.

Judaai was released in 1997. Raja Hindustani was released in 1996. They did not compete at award shows.

Sridevi lost the Best Actress to Madhuri Dixit for Dil To Pagal Hai. At the time, Mads was my choice too. But years later, I think Sri deserved it a bit more. La Devi had attended that year, and was seen moments after La Dixit received her award onstage to announce the Best Actor award which went to SRK for DTPH.
