To be honest, it's an absolutely rubbish system.

In Mumbai, there are some 2,000 odd TRP meters installed. Given this is a city with a nearly 2 crore population, that means 1 meter for every 10,000 folks to represent what people are watching.

Also, I personally know no one with a TRP meter and I suspect it's the same for the vast majority of folks on this forum.

May i ask if this trps are mostly counted in rural areas...thats why shows like saas bahu are higher in trps comparetively to urban areas? This trps doesnt look genuine to me

If it was 9-10, both KUDCA and IPZN wouldn't be under threat, they can take the 10-11 slot that's free.

One of these two IMO will have to make way. All things considered, I'd say KUDCA under greater threat than IPZN, but let's see.

There are meters installed across the country (both urban and rural)- dunno how many though.

The number of meters for Mumbai is public because the police mentioned it in a press conference during the TRP scam last year.

IMO, it's a horribly flawed system, and heavily dependent on the demographic of the homes in which the meters are installed (which I suspect are mostly lower class/lower middle class homes)

I'm as avid a quizzer as they come, but haven't watched KBC for the last few years. It's more of poverty p*rn and sob stories these days than a search for genuine quizzing talent. 😔

As is unfortunately the case with every reality show these days.

The nature of questions asked to certain folks clearly shows they are pre-decided by the team and not completely randomised questions.

Exactly. These reality shows have become worse with all fake drama etc.

I used to enjoy Indian idol first couple of seasons, DID early seasons, KBC but these days everything is fake and irritating.

I can’t tolerate singing and dance shows too.
