this seems the most apt theory as of now

but wasnt Kirti and Sunny in a long-distance relationship--how could he be here? and didn't Raghav catch these 2 love birds together

It might atleast justify the blindness Kirti has been showing otherwise I have been frustrated with her character lately. She was shown to be so mature at the beginning but after Sunny was introduced, her character has been torn down. This might atleast be a saving grace.

yeah I remember her saying that. No idea, here timings are not seen to be followed as such. Raghav has been shown to be unaware of her affair until recently when he went to Sunny’s house with Pallavi.

Okay, crazy idea.

When I have enough resources I am going to file a petition in SC to make it mandatory for the shows to put short disclaimers on air time, where different actors from the show come up and describe whatever toxic is being shown in the show is just an act, and that’s not how real life should be. 😆😆

I told this in another thread, I was very much impressed by keerti's character when she took pallavi with her when VD throws her out and voicing for pallavi when amma was deciding her future. But I can't see that mature keerti after Sunny's arrival. I was so mad at makers for ruining her character. I want them to give a proper explanation to her behaviour and blind trust for sunny

That's a very good move. Young girls should be taught difference between possessiveness, toxicity and love. Or else they will continue staying in a abusive relationship thinking thats how love is supposed to be.

Exactly and that's why u see most fandoms are crazy

A lot of teenage girls who are exposed to these shows and make it their life lessons and expect the same in reality .

They think way too emotionally about a lot of things and that's why it's important to be making shows which have better messages .

I dunno if anyone here has watched sasural genda phool

There suhana becomes an actress and keep crying and bearing violence in show

Seeing that her niece starts copying it at home and suhana gets shocked seeing how her show is affecting and structuring a small girl and decides to actually change what is being potrayed .

I am not a counsellor or therapist, but my academic and professional background is in psychology, and I've worked somewhat extensively on Intimate Partner Violence in the past, so both watching such stuff on TV, and reading the kind of comments that are common here just immediately infuriates and scares me. Adults ka toh kuch kar nahi sakte, but when I see young girls internalizing these beliefs and romanticising abusive, toxic men under the tag of 'he's an alpha', I just..idk. It's upsetting. I worry for them turning into Kirtis in real life, because no one deserves that, and the line between admiring certain traits in fiction and then in real life is so thin, and so blurry.

I used to be on IF a few years back as well, and rejoined this year on a different account, but one of the reasons I left was how prevalent these things got at one point. It's so much better now. I remember a phase where it was very cool for the ML to rape the FL in fanfics, and it would be all leading into romantic and angsty plotlines, and just for the sake of my own mental health, I had to deactivate and leave.

sorry for the intrusion.. but I felt the same . I remained away from IF for five years and then could finally return...

I feel IF is now much better than how it was before. People used to blindly follow the flow of these kinds of plots and would make it look like it was normal.

@bold: I know right. That’s the major problem I have with Kabir Singh.
