My parents came running into the room coz I was screaming at the computer screen 🤣 I was like "BABE PUT THE GUN DOWN!!!!!" 🤣🤣 And my mother looks at me like I am deranged or something🤣 All I said is some of the madness has rubbed off on me 🤣
Anyways coming back to that scene, I loved how Danish did not go overboard. Given the way the scene was written it could clearly have become a scene from a Kekta show or even hamming like a very popular "king-like" Bollywood actor (samajhdaar ko ishaara kaafi hai 😆).
He pulls out the gun so calmly and with full determination is ready to blow his brains out. Then he gets very emotional and within a minute you see his eyes widened in madness and he's so casually saying with a smile on his face "Isra main goli maaru dunga". Oh damn and the countdown. Minal supported him so well in that scene, I could feel her freaking out. And finally when he smiles...holy shit, I wanted to give him a glass of water and ask him to settle down. I myself drank half a bottle of water, not realising how invested I was 🤣🤣
Now I get the feeling of a happy ending too, given that whatever we had seen was from the first 6 episodes and bits from the 7th. I think Shahzaib will do something major for her and she might start trusting him and loving him again. But then again, it looks like the makers are advocating that "love marriage is bad"...ironic considering both Danish and Minal had fallen in love and dated their respective partners.
Honestly, Shahzaib is not easy to predict. Episodes 1 and 2, you see him as marriage material, 3 and 4 you feel sorry for him and support him and then in 6, he scares the shit out of you 😆 So he can even go bipolar.
Absolutely agree with you on the Haaris point. Isra is merely a trophy for him, just like Odin kept relics from every battle he won in Asgard. Shahzaib was right when he told Haaris, "how long have you known Isra?". Haaris just saw an innocent untouched girl and decided to claim.
No one really understood Shahzaib and Isra, did they? Isra was willing to sacrifice it all, but Shahzaib truly had no one supportive or understanding in his life. I could feel his pain when he told her brokenly, "You will leave, your parents will find you yet another groom and you will get married...previously you had also given the proof of being a good daughter right? You were leaving me, marrying someone else...I won't be able to take it...!! Someone else touches you, loves you, I won't be able to take it!!"
You know that one scene can be an hour-long reaction video given the nuances in every frame.
Isra's parents would tie her off to anyone, only because they were against love marriage. The way her mom was telling her keep our izzat and the brother was saying I'll be the happiest when you leave for your sasural was so disgusting.
I have never watched Minal before this show but I absolutely loved how she created chemistry with Danish. Especially given the love story lasted only the first two episodes. It looked like Shahzaib and Isra were dating for years. And I am especially talking about Minal coz Danish can even romance a tree and make you root for it 😆 He's had chemistry with all his co-stars, even the wooden actresses he's worked with. The only person with whom I cannot see him having any chemistry on screen is Ayeza ironically...off-screen they are amazing but on-screen idk what happens?! Maybe coz Ayeza is kinda cold and her roles focus more on her looks or something? The only person who she seems the comfiest with is Imran Abbas. But chemistry doesn't seem to be her forte.
And one thing I gotta say is that Danish has played the rich businessman many times before, but all the characters are different! I have anxiety when it comes to Shahzaib 😆 And as much as you love Sultan Durrani, you will hate Jan-E-Alam. Have you watched Ab Dekh Khuda...?? It's very depressing but if you can then please check out the first 12 episodes. You'll have to watch the first 3 entirely to get the gist, then just skip to Danish's scenes. He is such a toxic character, a disgrace to all men. And the way he switches between his good boy facade and the true bad boy image is insane. Also, that show in my opinion was quite bold for Pakistani TV. Even certain gestures and dialogues done/said by Danish caught me off guard. Normally there isn't much touching or hand-holding but this show had all that too.
PS: I am still waiting for you to read my story 😆 Because I took out all my frustrations I felt when it came to the writers of Deewangi, the same frustration you must be feeling while watching the show 😆😆😆
