I guess the calmness might be because the moment he said ok to marry her...he has given a promise to Dhara and his devotion for her is one of the reasons he didn't want to explicitly reveal his feelings...even during the one monologue he has during the wedding...it was all about doing it for Dhara and Gaumbi...so he cannot let them down...so he made sure to calm himself and handle Raavi's anger and rejection...
