Unpopular opinion: I liked Sanaya in RR more than in IPK. Sanaya in IPK was too OTT for me. It was Barun Sobti who stole the show with his stellar performance as ASR. Iss show ka Bengali version bhi huwa tha and the ML tried,but no one can replicate Barun Sobti's ASR.

Right Barun had more fans in that show than Sanaya did but SaRun were very popular as a couple.. In Rangrasiya, I was more into Ashish's role..

I saw few episodes of the bengali version of IPK.. nah! They couldn't recreate the magic.. didnt like either of them ML or FL..actually ML was better but nowhere near Barun.. to be fair, if first show is as popular as IPK wasz its tough to follow the act because people always tend to compare.

And I was pleasantly surprised because I've actually watched Barun Sobti on his debut drama Shraddha(vo bhi SP pe aata tha) and Baat Humaari Pakki hai in Sony. Pehle drama mein his character was of a scammer jiss ne FL aur uske parents ko choona lagaaya aur doosre drama mein he was a spoilt brat whose life is all about fun,ayaashi and doesn't take marriage seriously.

So,seeing him in such a serious role was a shock in itself aur phir he nailed all aspects of the role-sadoo to emotional breakdowns. But in general, I wasn't a fan of IPKKND.,just Barun's,Daljeet's(she played ASR's sister) and the Manorama Miami's performances are the ones that I liked.

The Bengali version did an underwhelming job here. The title song 'Bojhena shey bojhena' by Madhura Bhattacharya was however,one of my favorite title songs given that I was already a fan of the original version by Arijit Singh.

Did the bengali version got famous or shut down just after months? Was the hero abusive there too?

Yes. Basically Baazigar type tha, her father was killed because of his partner, so she married into the family to fck them all up. It was pretty fun go watch.
