I won't speak for the ML, but I'm a diehard fan of Barun Sobti, the actor who played him. In roles like this, where the ML is all stony-faced, it's all upto the actor to put in the charm and charisma there. I don't think anyone could've played ASR the way Barun did ❤️❤️

In fact, we did have a Bengali adaptation of the show. Same scenes, same dialogues... almost 95% was copied ditto. But where Arshi were a sizzling bomb together, the Bengali pair looked like some shaadi mein aye hue mehmaan All talks and no feel Zero spark, nothing.

Barun Sobti is a good actor that I agree. I really like him in Asur. But I hate the character he portrayed in the show IPKKND. I hate abusers period!! You mean to say that this toxic show was remade in Bengali!! With the quality of the Bengali TV shows I can imagine how terrible the show was!! 😆🤣🤢

Mohan Bhatnagar was a path breaking ML character that was created almost 10 years ago and he brought a breath of fresh hair in the ITV scenario where abusive ML and manhandling of FL became the norm. Mohan Bhatnagar k character ne dikhaya tha ki ML aisa bhi ho sakta hai!!

I never watch any Gul Khan shows it is so OTT and toxic. I avoid this kind of shows.

Wasn't a fan of ASR as the character itself par Barun Sobti NAILED it with his acting. And I was pleasantly surprised because I've actually watched Barun Sobti on his debut drama Shraddha(vo bhi SP pe aata tha) and Baat Humaari Pakki hai in Sony. Pehle drama mein his character was of a scammer jiss ne FL aur uske parents ko choona lagaaya aur doosre drama mein he was a spoilt brat whose life is all about fun,ayaashi and doesn't take marriage seriously.

So,seeing him in such a serious role was a shock in itself aur phir he nailed all aspects of the role-sadoo to emotional breakdowns. But in general, I wasn't a fan of IPKKND.,just Barun's,Daljeet's(she played ASR's sister) and the Manorama Miami's performances are the ones that I liked.

The Bengali version did an underwhelming job here. The title song 'Bojhena shey bojhena' by Madhura Bhattacharya was however,one of my favorite title songs given that I was already a fan of the original version by Arijit Singh.
