Fatejo - SPEAK IN ENGLISH
It's been a week since tejo was encouraging fateh to speak in english as she was trying to make some new developments in his personality towards his career plans
The sportsman who never had any career goals before this and realising its a new venture for him she decided that he should improvise his soft skills first
Fateh was reluctant to speak in english saying it was futile giving excuses we live in india and our national language is hindi. Tejo was annoyed with his statement and replied that english is the first language in the world and what if u get an opportunity abroad in terms of your career or perhaps one day you decided to settle out of india
He brushed away her comments lightly by saying that no way i will leave my beloved mother land to which she replied sarcastically its your destiny that decides for you just like your beloved chameli ditched you to be settled with me the very unfortunate best friend. Did you know that you were going to get married to me ?
Fateh didnt have a say for that. She was right. Our destiny decides our future. But his male ego was not giving in to her that she finally surrendered to his stubborness.
A week more past . He was still in the denial mode. She left things as it is as he took the full responsibility of his dad's sports academy . He will realise it someday that i was right she consoled herself sadly
Little did she know that the nightmare of the speak in english was knocking on her doors already

She woke up to the first ring of the alarm and hit his back with her pillow

He sat up straight on his bed

She didnt reply from the shower
He knocked the door of the washroom and said impatiently
Darwaza khol tereko mey betata hun !
She didnt reply.
He waited for a moment
Then an idea came to his mind
Tu pakka angrez key sath bhaag ney wali hai ? He asked loudly smiling mischieviously. He could hear her giggles from the shower
Then she replied sarcastically
Haan! kyunkey u dont speak english and i like english speaking gents only!
He smiled again
Tu juth bol rehi hai . Ur destiny is only fateh singh virk the punjab da desi puth. Agley janam tujhey angrez milega !
She replied with laughter in her tone
Agley janam ki chod is janam mey milney wala hai. Aaj subah mujhey sapna aaya tha ki aek angrez mujhey propose karney wala hai . Aur subah ka sapna sach hota hai!
He smiled mischieviously and sang loudly
Juth boley kauva kate kale kauvey sey deriyo mey teri sautan launga tu dekh ti rehiyo!
Seconds past no reply from the shower!
He was grinning
Then the door opened suddenly and she hit him with her towel . They were running in cirles in the bedroom and then he ran into the washroom eventually locking the door behind him
She screamed
Jab niklo gey tab betaungi! and walked towards the kitchen for breakfast preparation
8am on the way to university campus
She didnt utter a single word as she sat beside him in the jeep .
Red signal
I am angry !
He put an arm around her while driving and smiled looking into her face

She didnt respond ignored him and looked upfront
He spoke with a shrewd look on his handsome face

She replied finally smiling right into his face

Opened the door of the jeep and walked into the campus.
He frowned and thought to himself

Little did he know that his nightmare was about to begin

2pm at university campus
He waited impatiently sitting in his jeep as she was late for 20 minutes. She came finally . To his surprise she was walking towards him with an english guy beside her
Dressed in a maroon plain shirt and white pants he looked hardly in early thirties and a very smart personality
This is adam chris from england a guest lecturer in our college for a month duration!
And this is my husband !
Fateh was nervous remembering her words

The whole day he didnt utter a single word to her

That nite fateh was restless and couldnt sleep. Perhaps tejo is right. I live in india but foreigners come to our country for a visit and they cant speak hindi . Eventually they will converse in english. By hook or by crook i need to master the language from this very moment itself

Tejo was pleased he is improvising a lot now. Fateh started to communicate with the university professors and principal in english as he sends and picks tejo for her work trips .
The principal waa impressed and decided to choose fateh as a guest speaker for job and career planning seminar in the university the coming week
There were 8 guest speakers and she added fateh's name. They required a local speaker from the district as the rest were either foreigners or from other states of india. Moreover fateh has just won the punjab boxing championship so he will be the best candidate. An inspiration for the students.
Award will be granted to the best speaker by the student's committee where students will give in their votes to make their selection
Tejo found out from her colleagues and frowned as she knew he spoke from his heart. She couldnt do anything about it as the names were already submitted to the university committe board
On the other hand fateh was excited and prepared his speech refusing to get help from tejo and hid it from her stating u will hear it with the rest of the audience
She was worried

A large crowd of students were seated with all university professors and the principal as well. Tejo was feeling restless as fateh's name was announced. Her fingers clutching to her file nervously. Fateh was the last speaker of the day.
Dressed in blue plain long sleeve shirt and black pants he looked smart as ever.

So fateh received the best guest speaker award for the day with a small trophy from the university chairman who smiled widely as he handed over to him
All students gathered around fateh for handshakes and selfies at the stage. Some requesting for autographs
Tejo stood at a corner
Principles walked towards her
Tejo was nervous thinking going to lose job now
The principle seemed to have read her mind and smiled widely saying

A week later 5pm virks residense
All virks were out for visiting a relative including fateh
Tejo was alone working in the garden when her phone rang
She rushed to the living room
A woman's voice over the phone asking for fateh

There was no reply the lady said hello a few times
