Shiva's attire change request

I dont know about others but I am tired of Shiva's Check shirts and joggers pants..Kanwar looks shorter and bigger which he is not. Production should flaunt his body by giving him proper choice of clothing..

I know he is rugged character, but Rugged mein bhi dusri fashions ho sakti hai..! Production should keep changing his attire everyday like

Sometime Plain shirt without vest, Simple short-sleeve T-shirt, Polo-neck tshirt [Like muthir]... these clothes suits on Kanwar as he has good physique.

I am not entirely sure, but I think they are doing it on purpose 😆 The OG characterization of Shiva is supposed to be that he is less gentlemanly/good looking than Dev. This becomes a point of contention later with Raavi, where she needs to soothe his insecurities.(based on OG Tamil version).

Now, the problem is that KD is an extremely good looking dude. Akshay is no pushover, but pitted together, a viewer will find it difficult to understand why Raavi would pick Dev over Shiva(at least in terms of looks) and it will be difficult for us to digest that Shiva has insecurities(I still cannot completely accept it). For example, Shiva in the beginning pre-leap episodes looked as good, or better, than Dev. Everyone pointed out that it was weird that he is called Jaahil, Gawar, he did not look anything like it. He only looked angry but not like thug.

So the makers have slowly built up this image of Sadakchaap Shiva and wantedly dressed him down so that they can touch upon the Dev-Raavi-Shiva conflict later on.

Ofc this is my opinion- I might be completely off base here 😃

The point here is not that Shiva is rugged in looks.. he is. But he dresses this way because his character is written as such: unruly, jungli, gawar and sadakchaap. Someone who is untidy and not very hygienic. Polo shirts definitely will not give out that vibe. The clothes you mentioned will suit KD, but not Shiva.

There were episodes pre-marriage where he dressed in a buttoned up shirt and even a t-shirt, and he looked nothing like a jungli or a sadakchaap! in fact he looked like a perfectly normal, good looking guy 😆

Of course the fact that KD looks pretty handsome don't help the situation either, so the writers only have his clothes to work with
