and I don't think his character was butchered

He was very much the same RK throughout

Love does change people

I even liked Sultan aka avinesh with Drashti aka madhubala as well

I was torn between RK and Sultan as I liked Madhu with both of them lol

It was an amazing show

I dont know what to think of myself anymore, frankly..🤣 he did Nageen real dirty..basically wanted to make her feel the hurt and pain of rejection and ruswaii..the way he felt it...and poor Nageen really has been suffering a lot now🤓 but I still cant hate Sultan at all😳🤣 I enjoyed watching Nisha's unpredictable turns and absolutely crazy and disturbing antics in Jalan and now Sultan in Deewangi and the irony that the two actors are paired in this show..it couldnt get crazier than that😆

Anyway, I feel like Sultan punished himself by marrying Narmeen..he did everything he could to satiate his ego..and yet he knew fully well within that nothing could make up for the hole in his heart...when he gets full on drunk on wedding night, man oh man, the pain I felt for him💔

I cant wait to see the two of them cross paths again and Sultan totally destroying himself in deewangi lol.

That's the beauty of it right. We cannot hate the characters who r meant to be hated.. that's why the makers went ahead and ruined him completely 😆 I couldn't watch beyond epi 18 or I dunno what it was...

Undeniably he did wrong with nageen. Just bec he fell for her didn't mean she should. He was stalking her constantly . But we could see where he was coming from...nageen also acted unreasonable ..but after his revenge was complete, Sultan lost it..sab kachra kar diya serial ka bhi Sultan ka bhi...nageen loved her husband and she was having a baby with him, how on earth did Sultan assume that she would leave everything and come to him ? Wohi delusion wala aspect aata hai na. Bas his looks , his personality made me sit through the first 15 epis..otherwise it was trash..wohi ghisa pita.

That's why I said the writers don't do justice to such characters. All tv dramas follow this routine where characters make mistakes in first 15 epis , another 13 epis they drag it and in last 2 epis , justice ji..asylum death or suicide.

Basically its about Shahzaib and Isra. Both are from well to do families, but Shahzaib seems to be richer. He's got all the family pressure, his mom is a dominating fool while his younger brother is good for nothing. Isra is the apple of her family's eye. These two love each other, but both get their rishtas fixed elsewhere. Shahzaib is shown fighting for his love but Isra gives up easily (shown last week why) and agrees to marry her mother's best friend's son (who is creepy af). Now the story will be Shahzaib loosing his mind over her and going full on psycho.

Ok..creepy husband vs creepy lover ? And bechari heroine ?😆Story sounds different 😆

Yes, Danish was supposed to play Rishabh opposite Kareena. He even spoke about it on Ahsan Khan's talk show. That everything was finalised, then Kareena got pregnant so production was delayed 😆 Then we know what happened so...no one from Pak could work here. Even Ayeza was approached by Imtiaz Ali. SLB had spoken to Ahsan coz he wanted her in one of his movies.

Sumeet did a good job, but Danish would have knocked it out of the park. Imagine the chemistry!

Honestly, Fawad would have dethroned Ranbir and the others, he was a complete package. And if Danish were to cross over, they would have become our numero uno for sure. Our heroines would also loose their minds 😆 And what I loved about Fawad is that he would not resort to cheapness and vulgarity even in jokes at awards shows. That classiness, mixed with the fact he is a family man was heart warming. No unnecessary linkups and all that. The only one doing this in Bollywood right now is Ayushman and I admire him for that.

Then our "stars" would crib. Nepotism aur mediocrity ke bahar nahi nikalte ho, toh phir ye hi hoga. So many people have switched to different platforms, international shows or Urdu for viewing, that's the Indian makers' fault, not the audience's.

The Pak film industry is still growing and I know what you mean. I have seen Danish's movies and they're kind of reminiscent of 90s/2000s Bollywood. They need their own identity, like they have established for TV shows.

Yeah, the only way artists on both sides can collaborate is if an international project from a different country is made. Like Shekhar Kapoor is making a British film, which has Shabana Azmi as well as Sajal Aly. I heard Fawad is going to be in Miss Marvel, if that's true then its the only exciting part of the show 😆

Bollywood has messed up big time, they need to buck up and stop thinking the audience is a fool.

Yes Fawad is class apart! I was so excited for all the news of his projects in BW, after Kapoor and Sons. he was supposed to play Imroz in Amrita Pritam biopic, imagine him as an Urdu poet and he was even being considered opposite DP in Padmaavat, that ramp walk they did for Manish Malhotra - they looked so gorgeous man! I just really want Fawad back in the dramas!❤️ Man I even fangirled him in the very problematic dark show like Numm..he is really slacking it out and I am so mad at him lol!

Ayeza - It took me some time to really take her seriously as an actor..I did not like Pyaarey Afzal..and mostly I thought she is just a gorgeous face, but not a great actress..She was good in MPTH, she was blaah in TSH (but then I think that show was totally crap lol), I liked her in MTNH, but she was fab in Chupkey Chupkey..OMG SLB launching Ayeza would have been something! damn

Danish was grey in both the shows but in a sexy and real way as older pak scripts were less unreasonable amd less dramatic

I think Sultan's obsession with Nageen was something different in general. He felt it the first time he saw her, like she was the only one who would fill the void in his life..and he never approached her in a sleazy manner..he just wanted to talk to her and give them both a chance..a bit like how we approached our crushes sort off..but she was simply being mean without any proper reason and bracketing him as a creep..ofcourse he neednt have forced the ring on her..but its Sultan after all..I think he was trying to just make her understand that he had no ill intentions and his love for her went beyond just lust or something..but I feel it was all circumstantially horrible then..

after watching some more episodes, I dont even like Haroon..he is a mamma's boy and cannot take a stand for his wife..IDK why he asked Nageen to leave the job straight away after marriage..it made her life hell..and the show turned into a god awful saas bahu drama ughh..

Hamza in Ishqiya was redeemed to a great extent..what was terrible about Ishqiya is Hamna's glorification..even Ishq Hai is turning out to be somewhat like that..hence I am rooting more for Shahzeb

Sultan was supposed to go completely crazy I think..this show is all about his deewangi..and his alone..he was absolutely madly obsessed and in love with Nageen..and once he realized that the video leak happened from Narmeen..he just went nuts..he was already repenting his actions..and the biggest blow came to him from his wife..now what happened with Narmeen was also very unfortunate..I just dont know..my head is in a conundrum and my heart keeps forgiving him lol..its so crazy..I feel a lot of it has to do with his messed up childhood..a bit like SRK from Darr..where you know he is absolutely wrong in many places..yet you dont succeed in hating him

I didn't Hate him but I lost the connection in between so I stopped watching . Like so much happened in his life.. namreen got killed , his uncle, person he loved the most..his grand mother was killed..his daughter was separated from him.. yet he didn't show any emotion.

Like..hil jaata hai Insaan itna kuch hone par..but all I could see was a worse form of him .running after nageen , actinglike a A grade delusionist ..jaise dimag hi shut down ho gaya uska . Good bad or ugly any kind of characters r OK for me but not dumb ones 😆 like humza had a an arc , sultan lacked one..humza also faced life changing events but his journey was believable . But yes , at any point Sultan was the only interesting character who everyone wanted to see..haroon was a terrible guy..nageen turned into a cry baby ..itna bakwas kar diya ke everyone wanted the show to end.

I don't want humza part 2 please..ek humza ke liye mera dil bahut dukha tha..I hope shahzeb is better ..the girl def be better than humna 😆

I never cared about Haroon either, but I liked his character at the station, after that it went downhill 😆 Nageen ka I never understood, why is she immediately so rude to people around her? She did the same thing to Haroon and I was thinking "girl if he turns out to be a psycho will you run from there also?"

Oh man, that Bijaan wala scene toh made me break down. I was watching it at 1 am or something with red eyes. The pain on his face and the tears in his eyes were so raw and felt real, I swear all I wanted to do was give him a tight hug and tell him its all gonna be okay 😭

Nageen cost him his reputation and caused the entire Durrani family's humiliation in front of the Pakistani janta. So I'd say what Sultan did to Nageen was only a fraction of what he went through. Sultan's insult would be known to everyone, but Nageen could hide her past.

Frankly speaking, he could have done much worse, but did you notice no matter what his planning was, he was still very careful, as in he was trying to protect her. Like the way he told the kidnappers they dare not touch her. He was always madly in love with her, but the humiliation was unbearable for him.

I always felt Nageen should have spoken civilly to him. Not tear his business card and slap him. Those actions were not empowering, it was pseudo-feminism. Totally uncalled for.

Haroon's family is full of nutcases. I don't think Nageen would ever be happy with them. Or any girl for that matter. Simply because Haroon lacks a spine. A so-called independent working girl like Nageen gave up everything for a life of unnecessary trauma and humiliation. I would not even mind her marrying anyone, but not someone like Haroon because of all the drama.

I gotta watch Jalan now to know what you're talking about 😆 😆

And when it came to Narmeen, he just gave in because the rest of the family. He did not love her and for sure never wanted to marry her. But Bijaan was also adamant...and Sultan was internally so numb and full of anger that he went ahead with it. That wedding night though, he knew he had to go through with it and somewhere at the back of his mind that intimacy was something he always wanted to share with the woman he loved. And the minute he started to imagine her, I knew how horrible he would feel the next day 💔

Which episode have you reached till? Cross paths and Sultan's deewangi...girl you are in for such a treat I tell you

Chuck's last line in GG "it was all Blair". He was definitely happy, haan.😆 Chuck's life was also similar to Sultan's but Blair was his support system. He had her with him, no matter what, and when she gave up on him, he chose to fight for her. Thats why I loved them. I know everyone was a Serena fan, but not me 😆 Too much faltu drama she used to do 😆😆

You need to watch all the shows available. I have to give Ru Baru Ishq Tha and Shert a watch now. I have even watched his films😆

I remember seeing Imran Abbas with Bipasha while promoting their film and he too had a certain class to him. I don't see that in Bollywood anymore 😆

Tehzeeb and tameez seem to be in Pakistani heroes! All the males I have seen in interviews or shows/movies, may it be Fawad, Danish, Imran or Ahsan, they have that gentleman like quality. Why wouldn't girls go gaga over them? In India, they are just trying to be quirky Only Ayushman behaves normally!

Yess Fawad as Ratan Singh would have been so freaking awesome! Shahid did a good job, but Fawad would have taken it to the next level for sure! @bold: I have thought of these two things regularly. 😆

Ayeza was more of a model than an actress, but of course she has improved. Most her roles have been about her looks. I haven't watched Chupkay Chupkay but the teaser for Laapata looks good!

I am not a vd fan😆 I only like the characters..I don't like barun also...but the time I was watching deewangi , I was reminded of rk..both took revenge on the girls they loved but Sultan ka revenge was the actual revenge 😆 rk was good but the character went downhill very soon . They didn't know what to do with him to make him interesting and acceptable both. Look wise and acting wise , Sultan/Danish rules 😎

@bold: Jan-e-Alam is a full on villain, not anti-hero. I cannot believe how convincingly Danish plays all these roles, he's such a fabulous actor! You can watch Shert though, its a mature story and Danish's character isn't the villain. I have seen a bit of it but I had other shows to finish watching 😆 Plus my Netflix library has new shows/seasons already, so I gotta prioritise. 😆

Madhubala had an interesting concept but the script turned out to be horrible. The way RK nearly got Mallik killed, then got married to her and took her to a bed full of red chillies, I was literally like wtf is wrong with these guys?! Then the chaar pheras, pouring alcohol in the holy pyre...the makers are lucky they got away with it. I found it damn offensive and disturbing. Not to mention the marital rape that Madhu and RK's daughter had to go through. I had stopped watching the show but when I came to know about the storylines I found it very sickening.

Deewangi had amazing potential after the revenge plot, but looks like the writers did not know what to do for the remaining episodes. Plus it started getting huge numbers in TRPs so they dragged it out.

@bold: Although I am a Vivian fan, I need to agree with you on that 😳😆 Danish has a very special spot in my heart now 😆 Have you heard him sing though?
