Hamna is the character in ishqiya. Hamna and Humza are in love for 4 years but marries her father's choice because she didn't have the courage to stand up to her father. I wrote off ITV years ago..literally havent watched a single show in last 4-5 years ago..sigh, its deteriorated beyond control and beyond any hope I feel. Web series is the way to go as far as Indian content is concerned😎

I can't understand why educated people behave so backward when it comes to marriage. Even Ishquia, I read the story written by the member above, its sending a bad msg to society also...like the men resorting to forcefullness and its kinda teaching to remain a hypocrite in society, no love marriage (surprising since Danish had a love marriage and Minal is engaged to her boyfriend now).

ITV and web shows are two extremes: one shows over sanskaari-ness and the other shows too much explicit material. Not a huge fan.

on ITV shows - yep sameee Kasautti reboot you mean - that was totally bakwaas from the promos itself😳😆 Sony TV still tries to come up with some sensible stories, but they arent entertaining enough for me lol..and the writing is a bit too linear..so much that they just get lost about what they want to do with the shows, so they just shut them down randomly lol. Less said the better about SP and Zee and Colors..its a really sad state of affairs. I loved Star one shows too omg - golden days..Remix, Sarabhai, Gulaal, Khichdi..etc ...damn those were the days!

Also during the 90s ITV shows were so damn progressive and they even followed the weekly format similar to pak prime time dramas..Kekta came and changed a lot of things for ITV in general with dailies becoming a standard format and plastic surgeries and random shit twists for TRPs..anyway, its gone beyond repair now..

Now im watching all interviews of Danish and I have a bigger crush on the man himself..so classy and sensible and that voice☺️

I don't get the "family issue" too. I think it's very clear: angst makes complex characters and when you have amazing actors, it works like a dream!

Kasautii reboot bro, the first promo which was basically the original title song sequence, thats what attracted me to it...then Kekta made statues all over India and got SRK to promote it...did everything except work on the script 🤣

I had started watching "Ishaaron Ishaaron Mein" on Sony, unfortunately its got axed. Sony's leading in non-fiction mainly. SP, Zee and Colors have gone down the drain. They create all kinds of shit, then wonder why their future audience (aka teens and early 20s who should continue watching their stuff) is moving to shows across borders or to OTT.

Actually I was abroad for a year to study and I was surrounded by English speakers. I wanted my regular dose of Hindi obviously, so I would watch Kapil Sharma Show since that was the only thing available for free, the rest channels were either not available on OTT or platforms like Hotstar were 20 pounds a month, too much for a student's budget! Then I came across MPTH on YouTube (free viewing!!) and ever since, I have made a successful switch to Pak dramas 😆 Now my mom is like you know almost everyone by name and face, kitna content dekha hai 🤣 Coz 90% of the time I can name the actors on screen 🤣

ITV used to follow the once-a-week schedule since the 80s itself, all the DD shows used to follow that format...it was only when Star Plus came to India everything went down the drain. I was so sad when Star ONE shut shop; they did an entire longass concluding episode, done by Kekta (!!) for ending Pyaar Kii Ye Ek Kahaani properly...this is the only Ekta show I can watch repeatedly, no jokes 😆

@bold: Akele akele nahi dekhte, share karo humare saath bhi 😆 I must have watched it coz I have gone thru everything on YouTube, but an extra "dose" is alright ☺️🤣

OMG miss😳, Sultan Mania has hit me hard🤪..I have watched like 9 nine episodes sofar..and will watch remaining this week..but OMG☺️

I am not usually the one to drool over bad boys and stuff, because I detest how Gul Khan shows them or glorifies them🤣, my favourite bad boy used to be Sujal for a long time.. but there is something very different about Sultan😈 I can sense it from a distance that he is playing Nageen right now, but what a smooth player! Ok first off, there are many scenes where I dig how Danish is delivering this character..he obviously has model good looks and looks really sharp and gorgeous in almost anything he wears, but oh boy, the man can act pants and socks off and has a towering presence on screen! That scene where he bumps into Nageen the first time, he convinces you that this is maddening deewangi wala love at first sight, his obsession with her doesnt look random or sudden at all and that is totally because of how he acts with his eyes..and this is a well written show with bomb production values..atleast upto this point, something totally different from family drama and rona dhona.

Another one of my favourite moments is when he is telling his friend that Nageen will file a complaint against him and he starts launghing and says "haaye masoom"😛 its a brief moment but its so cute for some reason lol.

This is a perfect example of star crossed lovestory, atleast upto this point..I know the show drifts and ruins Sultan big time later on..but Im enjoying it sofar. Circumstances have been against the two characters..when Sultan was in love with Nageen without any malice in his heart, she wasnt ready to trust him, and probably rightly so, considering her horrible encounters before, with other men..and now when she is totally into him, he is playing her. Unfortuntately Sultan does love her a lot, because in a lot of those moments where he is romancing her, he doesnt behave inappropriately in anyway and one can literally see how his eyes are only for his lady love, but his ego is too bruised for him to accept that..Ok I am really stressed right now for the upcoming episodes (I always have a bad habit of reading the story of the show, because I cant handle suspense lol) But Danish makes Sultan Durrani very very dilkash and addictive!

Also Hiba and Danish's chemistry is scorching!🥺 Hiba grew on me ...I dont find her to be some ethereal beauty, but she has the virginal innocent beauty quality, but in more ways than one, it is Sultan who convinces me that Nageen is a very special girl. Also I quite like the backdrop of politics and some important issues like the god awful acid attack etc being incorporated in the story. It is definitely an interesting watch even as a show in general

Reboot lol - let me put it this way, I dont like the lead actors of the reboot, they dont work for me individually or as a pair..and Kekta ne paani ki tarah paisa bahaya, but when the magic is missing, it just doesnt make up for anything lol

I can totally understand, after a point I really want to watch desi content..and while I dig some OTT shows, my staple entertainment diet is still very much desi stuff lol. as far as Art is concerned, I love Pak dramas..I dont even enjoy K dramas , even though they are so popular, because I think its too candy floss for my taste..I like family dramas, mature interactions etc..

wait what! Danish in Veera??!! In Sumeet Vyas's role I am assuming, OMG he would be total hot stuff! That movie was totally blaah though but maybe Danish would have made it interesting😎 Ohh whatever happened with Fawad was totally unfortunate..he is a great actor, and I miss watching him damn! yes some of the Pakistani talent is amazing! But can I just say I dont want them to do pak movies for sure, I dunoo their dramas are bigger than their movies..and I like watching them for 20-30 episodes..we get to see so much more of them that way 😆 and I doubt things will ever be accessible for them now specially in Bollywood or Indian film industry for that matter.

Danish as Sultan was the definition of the Julia Michael song Heaven, "they say all good boys go to heaven, but bad boys bring heaven to you". ☺️☺️

We used to have such lengthy discussions on the forum about Sultan, and we were frustrated with what the writers did in the end 😆 And Shahzaib is basically a lesser grey and lesser ruthless version of Sultan, with more level-headedness. But I get the feeling he's gonna be a bigger psycho than Sultan 😆

Sultan was literally a superior version of all the bad boys put together. Freakin Damon Salvatore, Christian Grey and Don Massimo were nothing in front of him

Pro Tip: See the first 13 episodes in full lengths, then you can keep on watching it in FF mode...but focus Sultan's bits 😆 Then from 24, he returns and is constant till the very end.

Actually, I got introduced to Danish via Ayeza only. MPTH was the first Pak show I ever saw and Ayeza was such a dream in that Few looks of hers are so iconic from that show, esp the black sari and when she starts dating Shehwar *chef's kiss*. ❤️

I've basically given up ITV, I cannot tolerate people becoming makkhi, macchar and saap 🤣 And all that unrealistic makeup, costumes, fx and sound effects give me headache

Itv is good occasionally...I recently completed ipkknd n I look like a fool totally to have seen it so late 😆 Its an amazing show uptil a point..out of 400 epis , 350 r awesome. Now that it's over I will switch to my English shows..and diyar e dil I have to watch..Indian web series toh ekdum bakwas hoti hai.

Sultan is incomparible to the Gul Khan heroes, I truly detest her male characters, even if its someone good looking like Nakkul 😆 Sujal is a legend 😎

Everything that you're describing is so on point. Sultan has an edge that many grey characters lack. And I don't even mean his looks, it's his sheer confidence, which is so very attractive.

Where Danish scores is he aint just good eye candy for females to thirst over, but he is so very talented! You can't take your eyes off him when he is on screen and to be very honest, I have experienced such screen presence of various actors from the West, but no one from South Asia. Not to mention, I blush so hard during most his dialogues, whether its him being romantic or a deewana on screen. Special shoutout from episode 30 to 32, when you watch it, you'll know what I mean 😉 It still makes me loose my mind ☺️☺️☺️☺️ And around that time Sultan is turning out to be a full on bipolar crazy dude, so I feel something is wrong with my brain if I find certain portions attractive ☺️

I really thought it must be a fluke, because Deewangi was his second show I saw, first being Jab We Wed with Ayeza...but then I saw Ab Dekh Khuda Kya Karta Hai, and man oh man, this guy deserves much more opportunities and accolades. I won't be wrong if I say he is a better performer and a better script chooser than Ayeza. 😆

Absolutely agree with you about their first meet, the way Sultan looks at her makes you feel she is special. In all honesty, I never found Nageen likeable at all. But a part of me in the beginning only rooted for them because I could feel what Sultan feels! Though right from the beginning I could see that these two are no match for each other, Sultan in a way lost his mind over Nageen because she did not throw herself at him. Nageen, on the other hand, did invite a lot of her troubles because of her own attitude.

Uufff that "haye masoom" has my heart 😳😳😳

@bold: YAAS!! Sultan was not a womaniser or a creep, like the other men who hit on Nageen. So the fact she generalised literally pissed me off so bad. 😆 And Sultan does pay for playing this game, you will feel his pain in further episodes. Don't take so much stress, the entire show is out 😆😆 When I was watching there were some 7-8 episodes left, so my anxiety levels were sky high🤣

I have watched various movies/shows with kinda messed up or grey-ish characters like Christian Grey, Don Massimo, Hardin Scott, and then there has been Sujal, Abhay, RK, Shivaay, Arnav (the last two I just caught glimpses), but no one has been in the same league as Sultan. Idk how Danish has done it, but he has literally created a benchmark which will be difficult to achieve. There is a Hindi show called Pinjara Khubsoorati Ka, and the hero seemed a lot like Sultan according to my mom...and yes it did seem inspired in the beginning, but naah, its truly a very high benchmark set.

I am not a fan of Hiba, I did not really connect to Nageen 😆 But yes they did have chemistry. I need to watch Haara Dil, which was Hiba and Danish's first show. Hiba was more likeable in the initial episodes of Fitoor (which is a complete goner now). In fact I wanna see Danish paired with Sajal Aly and Hira Mani (who I find to be a fab performer). He's worked with Hira before, but not in the romantic sense.

I gave KZK a chance also coz one of my friends at the time was a huge fan of Paarth. But honestly, it was such a bad show 🤢😆

Yes, Danish was supposed to play Rishabh opposite Kareena. He even spoke about it on Ahsan Khan's talk show. That everything was finalised, then Kareena got pregnant so production was delayed 😆 Then we know what happened so...no one from Pak could work here. Even Ayeza was approached by Imtiaz Ali. SLB had spoken to Ahsan coz he wanted her in one of his movies.

Sumeet did a good job, but Danish would have knocked it out of the park. Imagine the chemistry!

Honestly, Fawad would have dethroned Ranbir and the others, he was a complete package. And if Danish were to cross over, they would have become our numero uno for sure. Our heroines would also loose their minds 😆 And what I loved about Fawad is that he would not resort to cheapness and vulgarity even in jokes at awards shows. That classiness, mixed with the fact he is a family man was heart warming. No unnecessary linkups and all that. The only one doing this in Bollywood right now is Ayushman and I admire him for that.

Then our "stars" would crib. Nepotism aur mediocrity ke bahar nahi nikalte ho, toh phir ye hi hoga. So many people have switched to different platforms, international shows or Urdu for viewing, that's the Indian makers' fault, not the audience's.

The Pak film industry is still growing and I know what you mean. I have seen Danish's movies and they're kind of reminiscent of 90s/2000s Bollywood. They need their own identity, like they have established for TV shows.

Yeah, the only way artists on both sides can collaborate is if an international project from a different country is made. Like Shekhar Kapoor is making a British film, which has Shabana Azmi as well as Sajal Aly. I heard Fawad is going to be in Miss Marvel, if that's true then its the only exciting part of the show 😆

Bollywood has messed up big time, they need to buck up and stop thinking the audience is a fool.

Howz this show going? I will start watching only if it's like deewangi..Matlab kuch toh ho for 10-15 episodes.. but I don't like danish ki look here 🙄 he was better looking in meherposh but woh show ka bhi A grade kachra kiya tha.

Itv is good occasionally...I recently completed ipkknd n I look like a fool totally to have seen it so late 😆 Its an amazing show uptil a point..out of 400 epis , 350 r awesome. Now that it's over I will switch to my English shows..and diyar e dil I have to watch..Indian web series toh ekdum bakwas hoti hai.

You need to this show for sure. Shahzaib is a bigger psycho than Sultan, but he is a more balanced person in the beginning. What is commendable is that Shahzaib could have been a Sultan 2.0, but Danish managed to make him his own person!

And about his look, it truly suits his character. You need to watch to know what I am talking about. The curls aren't that distracting. Its just that we are so used to seeing guys with slicked, gelled hair with a bouffant style. Natural texture is rarely seen.

ARY is airing double episodes so the pace is good, you will get on board the Shahzaib during the first episode itself. I can vouch for that ☺️☺️❤️

Please give it a chance, for me, you won't regret it 😳
