What a lovely episode!
Of course, the mansion and Shivangi were the show stealers today
Right from the very first shot, panning to the exteriors of the mansion, I was so emotional. And hayye, those massive doors opening- couldn'y help but remember Raghav walking in at the end of episode 1, opening those doors into the large, lonely, empty house...and now he's walking in proudly with his family. And they played the OG title track, I was so happy!! I'm so done with the random new versions, and it also works with the callback, since the same track played in that first episode scene. Anyway, back to this set- it was like aankhon ko sukoon mila. Felt like it was a homecoming for us all.
Want to talk a bit about the Deshmukhs! I have to say, I burst out laughing when Mansi and Amrutha were talking about being more comfortable apne ghar mein. Jaise kaand Janakamma ke ghar mein sab kar ke aaye hain, aur comfortable hote to pata nahi kya karte 🤣
Vijay Deshmukh, what a man....👏👏 (sarcastic, btw- if it wasn't obvious) The difference between him and Raghav, as far as being a partner goes, was so very evident today. We know that culturally, this is an important day for married women. On one hand, Vijay's so consumed by his ego, he has no value for his wife at all. She's going through a difficult fast, and he's faking sickness and adding to Sharda's burden for the day, just for kicks. Raghav, conversely, is not only doing everything he can to make the day special for her, he's also fasting for her. I'm glad VIjay's victory here was so hollow- he couldn't stop Sharda from meeting Pallavi. If Sharda couldn't go, Pallavi came over.
I'm a bit confused though- didn't Raghav only insist that the pooja happen at RR Mansion for safety, and insist quite firmly that none of the women step out for a few days? I'm surprised he conceded so easily, such that there wasn't even a conversation, nor any discussion about Pallavi taking security. Kirti also went off to Sunny's quite casually...
