Salman allowed to go to London, Australia

Actor Salman Khan, who is on trial at a court here in connection with the killing of endangered deer, was on Wednesday allowed to go abroad from April 24 to June 4 for an Award function in London and a film shoot in Australia.

His counsel has also approached the Rajasthan High Court for its nod to the actor's foreign trips and the matter will be heard on April 21.

Salman, who was given conditional bail after conviction for killing a 'Chinkara' (Indian gazelle) in the district in 1998, is scheduled to visit London from April 24 to 28 to attend the Zee Cine Awards Function and Australia from April 30 to June 4 to complete the filming of 'Main Aur Mrs Khanna'.

The Judicial Magistrate's Court, where cases under the Wildlife (Protection) Act and Arms Act are pending against him, granted the actor permission to leave the country on the two different dates on an application moved by his Counsel H M Saraswat.

Salman, who was sentenced to five years imprisonment in the Chinkara poaching case, has moved a revision petition in the High Court.

Four Wildlife Act cases and one Arms Act cases were registered against him for allegedly killing endangered black bucks (Antelope) and Chinkara in the district in October 1998 during shooting of the film 'Hum Saath Saath Hain'.

He was convicted in two cases and granted bail on the condition that he takes the court's permission to go abroad.

Salman is also on conditional bail in the Mumbai hit-and-run case.
